This ring is absolutely beautiful and so much more affordable than the ones they sell through the school. The engraving is nice and there is a wide selection of styles and stones. I intend to by the next ring from here when my other child is in high school. This is the price the rings "should be". The other place, you're just paying for the name.
My ring came in at about 3 weeks after ordering it, and it is perfect! The size, the color, the engraving- it is definitely what I wanted.
I order this ring for my daughter in 10K because she wanted the gold color. The ring came fast, probably about three weeks after ordering it. I took the ring out of its package, and my first thought was that they forgot to engrave it. There's no engraving on it. Then after looking at it for several minutes I see what looks like scratches on the side, then I notice that it is actually letters, you couldn't read them. We were finally able to see that it had our daughter's name on one side, and her graduation year on the other side after we look at it with a magnifying glass. She could wear this ring everyday and no one would ever notice that it's engrave at all. I wanted to return it, but my daughter likes the ring, so she kept it. If you look at the web site you can see the engraving so easily, and even the samples at Wal-Mart have the engraving in black and it's easy to read from a distance, but my daughter's ring, you can't see the engraving at all unless you look really close and squint your eyes. You can't read the engraving without a magnifying glass. It is a nice looking ring, but I can't recommend it because you can get a 10K ring for much less than we paid for this one. Maybe it's just our ring for some reason, because like I said the sample in the store was different, but to me it seems like a case of false advertising when I see it look so nice on the web site, but what we got looked totally different.
I had purchased the ring in a 6. When I received the ring it barely didn't fit, but there's nothing when I was looking up the metal is that Valadium cannot be sized up. The ring itself is beautiful, but it is very upsetting that no where there is there anything that tells you you cannot size the type of metal. I honestly don't understand why they would sell a metal that cannot be altered. Also, I had tried on a friends ring that was a 7.5 and fit just like this ring does, but my grandmother (size 5) tried on my ring and it fit her perfect. So I'm not sure where the ring size differences came from.
I bought this ring for my daughter and I was excited when it came today. I was looking at it and it is very pretty. The engraving was readable even though it was small. The reason I gave it 2 stars was because I tried on the ring to see how it fit and it cut my finger. The inside edge (under the stone) was very sharp. I work with metals so I have the equipment to fix this. I was able to smooth it out so it wont cut her finger. I don't know if it was just this ring, but if anyone orders it, check to make sure it is not going to cut the finger of the person you are buying it for.
