Great add on for my Camp Chef 3 burner. This is the second one I have purchased as I wore out the old one. I purchase the one burner griddle to go along with it. I have had my other one for more than ten years and love it for grilling. The addition of the griddle will make it more complete cooking system for BBQs and Camping.
We love the versatility of this system. The grill lasts about 4-5 years, but that the usual for bbq's.
Just got back from a week camping trip and workout for the camp chef. I used the BBQ box to grill some Rib Eyes and they were perfect. The BBQ design is excellent, gets the food browned and cooks without actual flames touching the food. I've been camping and cooking outdoors for over 35 years, this is the best product ever made for outdoor cooking! Note: since I got this several weeks ago, I pretty much quit cooking indoors at home. The camp chef is setup on the patio and has already become legendary for Sunday family dinners. If you are thinking of getting this BBQ box, do it, you won't be dissapointed!
Exceptional product. Could not find in a store, so ordered on line from Walmart, because of their easy return policy. It arrived damaged during transit, I took it to the nearest Walmart, got my credit card refunded, went home and ordered another one. Arrived in perfect condition and the shipping was free, both times. This works like a charm. I've been grilling for years and this is, no doubt, the best ever. No flame touches the food, so you get nice, even browning, not burning. The newest model also has heat diffusers built in, so no hot spots. After you try this you'll never go back to a "regular" BBQ!
This is our second one! As with the old one used frequently and was time to get a new box. Love the versatile use of our 3 burner. Great for our camping adventures.
So far I am impressed, only used it one weekend but cooked two large tri-tip's hotdogs and potato's without burning them, I would rate it a 5 star but I the lid can slam shut, if you are planning to cook with it open or want to leave it open, be careful the slightest breeze and the lid can slam shut.
Very happy with the quality of the product. This was a replacement, so I already knew that Camp Chef has a great product. Wasn't real happy with the condition. I noticed the lid didn't quite close properly and found that the back right corner was dented. Since we needed to use the bbq box that day I just straightened out the dent as best as I could and had to spray some high temp. paint on the area where the paint had chipped off.
Seems well built of good materials that gets the 3 stars. On my initial cook I can see the huge flaw built in this grill box, there is nowhere for the grease to go but on your burners and into the bottom liner of the pro 90 which is not only a nightmare for cleaning but a huge safety hazard! I cooked 2 steaks at low heat and halfway through the cook had a grease fire going. Fortunately I am always minding the grill. This design flaw is a huge disappointment for the build quality and the brand.
Great quality but was dented when I finally got it after the first order going missing.. no time to return again!
Purchased this with the 3 burner stove as a package. Dispite our best attempts , the grills rusted and now at the start of our 3rd season it's unuseable due to rusting.
