Why in the world did I wait so long to buy this. Folks I'm here to tell ya if you want to start slow cooking with smoke this is the one to buy. This smoker has everything on the outside so when you shut the door you don't open back until its ready. You push 3 buttons and go to the lake, go take a nap. The only downside is and this is not a bad thing, you have to plan ahead. Take your meat out the day before and rub it ,rap it, and put it back in the fridge. Take it out the next day and let it get to room temp. Ya'll enjoy it you here.
Once assembled properly it seems to work great. Have smoked a pork loin and some chicken breasts so far and both were great.
LOTS lighter construction that the original 30, only 4 adjustments for shelves instead of 6, the heat does NOT stay constant, cycle rate is way to slow, runs sometimes 15-25 deg F different from set temp on controller!! Very hard to use to cook delicate fish.. no heat control at all below 200 deg!! Had my old one since '07 till this year, new heating element and new controller last year till now.. just quit! If this one holds out for 12yrs.. I will be happy! Recycling the old one for cold smoking only..
