We just bought this today. We brought it home and the setup was easy as heck. Took about ten minutes. I ran the 3 hour break in period and it is just finishing up. I put one of my trusted probes inside to compare the probe that is inside the unit and the units air temp sensor. The unit air temp and the internal meat probe read the same as each other with in a degree or two.. They both read about 8 degrees higher than my trusted probe. But that is ok I can deal with that. What I was impressed with was the unit held the internal air temperature about 5 degrees + or - of the set temperature of 275 degrees. That is way closer of a narrow range than I was every able to control my charcoal smoker. Looks like a good buy.. I will try it tomorrow with some beef chuck roasts.
First, most shoppers will need help getting the 95lb smoker into the car. Second, be sure someone is home to help you get it into the house as well. It is very heavily packaged which is a good thing since it is shipped all the way from China. For this reason it takes about 45 min to unpack and assemble. I couldn't season the smoker after assembly because wood chips were not included with the purchase. It clearly states to use hardwood chips only that have been seasoned for at least 6 months. Do not use wood pellets. As soon as I get my hands on some wood chips and the smoker is "Seasoned", I will update this review. Hopefully with positive comments. This review asks for a "yes" or "no" reccomendation. "Undecided" is not a choice so I will say yes for now. Sonny
