I love this smoker. I only wish it was 2 inches wider so it would fit my brisket. It could easily fit an 8lb brisket but I tend to buy around 12lbs. I?ve smoked a few times already. I?ve learned the first thing you need to buy is a bbq thermometer that can be left inside the smoker. Don?t worry about wood after the first full hour of smoking. The meat is already heated and sealed. You just need to worry about the internal temp after that. I keep mine at 220. Food is delicious!!
Great smoker. It allows you to use more wood than most do because of the special ceramic coated pan it has. I love it because it regulates temp very well. Does not use a lot of gas when you're cooking low and slow. I normally use a lot of wood during the first few hours to get a good smoke ring and then allow the propane to complete the cooking Set it and let it take care of the rest
Took it out of the box and was very easy to assemble. Hooking it up to the gas was a breeze. Cooked a pork butt and turned out wonderful!! Can't wait to try something else.
using mine for the first time today. went together pretty easy and seems to work exactly as it should. however it Does not come with a wood chip box so u will have to buy one separately.
the dimensions for this product is very misleading, way to small and the width is not 20" its more like 15×15 to be correct. can't fit a proper rack a rib in unless small. I'm sure this smoker is great for small usages but Masterbuilt needs to get their dimensions correct so buyers don't come across this problem. I really expect this smoker to be a bit larger off the specs but I will be selling it unfortunately.
Missing a bolt on the side so it left a hole for the heat to get out. Door did not line up when closed and burner bent down when it was connected to the hose connector which made it unsafe to use. Returning it
