I loved this smoker since I purchased it I did cook me some ribs on it and they came out great. The only thing I wished I'd done was for a bigger smoker so that I could fit one slab of ribs on the rack. I had to trim the ribs down and put them in at a angle but they made it. I love the Bluetooth digital timer but I did have to keep pairing it every so often especially when I walked away from the smoker. Smokes great and I used the wood chips with the mixture of the Cherry, Maple and Hickory and it was great smelled really good too. I put the chips in the loader about every 45-55 minutes that's how long the chips take to burn out. Overall it's been nice so far haven't cooked anything else on it yet but I will soon. Side note I had to set the timer to 230 for it to keep the temp to about 225 so it did have a swing about 7-10 degrees but other then that I was delicious.
Love the smoker Whole Turkey fit fine NO PROBLEM! ! Thermostat and timer are great and everything we've smoked has been juicy and delicious. . Started outwit whole turkey. Also put acorn squash in with a chicken. Yummy! Barely releases any smoke so we can put it right on our patio. Our old smokey Joe had to be used 20 ft awayfrom the house or the whole place smelled like bacon. We didn't want all the bells and whistles or to spend too much. The features are adequate and it works great. We are Very happy! Highly Recommend A++
Absolutely love this smoker. I smoked chicken, pork, and pork loin. The meat came out great.my husband assembled it and pre-seasoned it. I recommended the smoker to my brother.
I bought this smoker primarily to smoke fish in order to make smoked fish dip. But now using it for many other things such as pork ribs and chicken wings. I really like it.
I bought the 40" electric smoker specifically to smoke kielbasa amd other sausage. After about 6 weeks, and 40 pounds of sausage, I'm more than satisfied with the results obtained for what I consider to be a bargain price unit! I use a ThermoWoeks Smoke to monitor internal air temperature amd it is rarely more than a few degrees off the digital readout. My only minor disappointment is not getting smoke below a smoker set point of 185F.
This smoker is brilliant in many ways. Digital control that allows temp adjustment down to the single degree. Timer allows cooking overnight without oversight. Window lets you watch the product cook. Wood chips are easily put in without losing temp by opening the door. But this will not last forever Consider only having this for 4-6 years before needing to replace it.
Decent for price point. Doesnt hold consisten temp in my experiences so far. Ive been smoking for 20 years, this isnt the best or worst ive used. It will make due now that i know i need to have it on 275 degrees the whole time. Also slows down smoking when youve put a couple trays worth of wood in so plan to dump the ash at least once on an 8 hour smoke but thats explainable.
Well im not sure how to rate this. I bought it on Monday, used it Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I loved it. Today, Thursday it heated up to 225, I loaded chips and meat and it quit heating up. The heating element quit working after 3 uses. I tried to contact customer support, no help. Online customer support I filled out form but get an error i must be logged in to proceed. Some Oracle site that I have no idea what it is. I also see the element is sold out in store. So this is a major issue it sounds like. Can't love something that works 3 times. So can't rate it accurately right now. If the element worked more than three uses its an easy 5 star. But how i feel right now isn't 5 star.
I bought this smoker after high reviews online, mainly to use the bluetooth feature. For the first cook my phone connected fine, but it constantly looses connection even while keeping the phone within a few feet of the smoker. After the first smoke I noticed paint bubbling at the edge of the door. A week later the paint chips off, and the metal starts rusting. I understand paint isn't covered under the warranty, but the unit shouldn't rust within a week of purchasing a smoker. I gave this smoker to my father and boughta Char Broil smoker.
It has a big dent in the top, right corner and the seam where the top right corner fits over the main body of the grill is bulged out. I only asked them to give me a break and I figured they could at least adjust the charges to what they would sale a damaged 30" grill for if they had it in their store. Save them and me a lot of time and trouble.
