Product is great. Very easy to assemble and it looks great. Lights are bright. So much better that solar. Want to buy a second set but currently out of stock.
I bought this light set about a month ago for the front of my house. I liked them so much that this is the fourth set of them I've bought. They are very bright, very sturdy, and they are very easy to install and to expand when you buy more. I am now completing my back yard with these. If you are looking for a great light set, look no further.
I love them. I was trying to reduce my electric bill and was looking online for new landscape lighting. I currently had a 600 watt transfer with 30 halagon 20 watt bulbs. I figured out it was costing me about $22 bucks a month to keep them on 8 hours a night. I saw these online at Walmart.com and found them at my local store. Believe it or not, they were actually cheaper in the store because they were on clearance. I bought one set to take them home and test them out. The next day I bought 3 more. They are bright and put out a beautiful white light. I highly recommend them.
I had been looking for landscape lighting for the beds in my backyard around my pool, but everything was so expensive! I was walking through the store and saw these. I have to admit, for $50 I really wasn't expecting much, in fact, I was expecting to probably return them. Then, I installed them. They went in quickly and easily. I had to wait until the evening to really see if these lights were worth keeping though. I was BLOWN AWAY!!!! They were brighter than I had expected and were the PERFECT accent to my backyard! 2 issues mentioned in another review...1. The transformer IS NOT weatherproof. Fortunately, I had installed a plastic GFI box last year and the transformer fit perfectly (although it does cover both outlets). 2. As for mounting the sensor, this should not be an issue for anyone. If all else fails, I suggest silicone. It will hold the sensor to the brick and is easily removed. I hope this helps! I will definitely buy more of these!!!
I picked these up cheap in clearance and have been very happy. I actually got 2 sets. They are very bright. I do NOT have the transformer mounted with anything special, it is actually just sitting on top of some mulch plugged into an extension cord - it has been like that all year, no problems! I was worried that since they are plastic stakes/housing it might not last, but they look as good today as the day I put them in.
The lights are effective on walkways and the spots highlight trees and bushes well. Good value for plastic lighting. Some people do not like the bright blue/white light of the LED's. I do.
If you want to connect more than (6) lights, you simply buy multiple packages of this SAME product. All of the sets connect end to end (like Christmas lights, but with a different connection) You just won't use the other transformer(s). You only need (1) transformer per 15 lights (mix & match), so if you buy 3 sets you will have 18 lights. 15 of those can be all on one transformer. If you need more than 15 lights then you'll have to use a second transformer (If you bought 3 boxes of this product you will have 3 transformers to use)...and so on.
This product looks great.....IN THE BOX. The transformer is not water proof and must be housed inside a glass or plastic housing. The light sensor wire is way to short and can only be attached to wood. Not a good choice for brick stuck o or any other non wood constructed house. The cords are bulky and must be buried. The stakes are small, and on the spot lights you are not able to use a rubber or rawhide mallet to pound them into the ground....good luck to the elderly who purchase this product. Don't waste your money or your time, unless you have the perfect set up with a close housed electrical outlet. And the time to really go slow and not break the cheap plastic.
