The battery is rechargeable which requires 2-3 days to fully charge in the sun. Once it reaches it full charge the color will start to change in the dark. That's when you enjoy the color change. But you have to be careful not to leave it in the rain. The water can short out your fun and that will be no joy. So make sure to move the Dragon Fly solor light if it begins to rain. Otherwise enjoy the color change. Once the lights begin to not change, change out the rechargeable batteries. And have more fun.
I bought 3 and one did not work. I had to return one to the store. When I went to re-order, the price went from $7.25 to $11.89. I was not happy. In fact, I would have ordered three more, but not for that price. Four dollars is a big increase in a month .!!!!!!
Light does not come thru blue ball. Hard to see. Either item needs lighter coloring, or they need a larger light. Design is great but this is not the quality I was expecting. I would NOT recommend this item to my friends.
