This weed eater was cheap and works good. The cord lasted me a few years.
Tried and Proven product works so much better than the "new and improved" automatic feed heads on most other trimmers. I f you use your weedeater alot like I do I highly recomend the "tap and go" heads over the automatic feed heads.
Great little weed eater. I call it my suburban weed eater as it's a light duty, easily to manage and does everything that it's supposed to. I've had mine for a year and half and the only problem I have with it, isn't with the weed eater itself but with the replacement head for the line. I've been to 12 walmarts between Washington state and Colorado and have yet to find any replacement spools. I can't find them on the walmart sight either...the only place I have found them is on the Ace Hardware online store...for $12.99. Most Ace stores don't carry them either so you'll have to order online as I did. Otherwise, this was a great purchase for the price.
I couldn't get the line advance to work. It's probably my fault. I'm just not very good at products like this.
This is the worst I have ever had. Cannot go more then 2 minutes and string breaks.Have to pull off rewind -while rewinding it unwinds-finally get it back on and maybe 1 1/2 minute later it breaks again. DO NOT WASTE you money
weedeater model RTE112c is awful - the string continually breaks of, so you have to take the spool of and reroute thse string every minute or two. I'm taking it back.
This product was very flimsy. There is no efective means to secure the cord to keep it from coming unplugged. The key assembly points are made of plastic and do not permit secure tightening. I threw mine away after 2 uses. I'm going back to gas, and a different brand.
