I have had this mower for about 6 weeks now and use it once a week on just about a half acre with some inclines and lots of rocks and stumps. I had read about 30 review on it and other Brute mowers and most complained about the wheels breaking is falling off but decided to buy one anyway, cause I think I know better than most people lol and in this case I did/do. I have yet to have any problems with the wheels other than the decorative "hub caps" popping off which is no big deal to me cause they have nothing to do with the performance of the mower, they just make it look pretty. I made sure the bolts were all tight and did what the directions said to do when assembling the little bit of stuff that needed to be put together. It has the 6.25 hp briggs and stratton motor and is great in deep thick grass. It has only stalled out once cause I had the self propel on and was in really thick, wet grass that was about 8-10 inches high. Starts on the first pull every time and the self propel speed is great when mowing but could use a faster speed when transporting. For $100 more you can get the multi speed but I didn't want to spend that much. The front wheels are the drive wheels and I was a little unsure about that cause had only used rear wheel drive in the past, but I love it. It's much easier to turn and front doesn't lift up like rear wheel. The mulching plate was in place over the discharge when I bought it and it works awesome. The only place you see clippings is on the road and driveway. My lawn looked like a desert when we first moved in and now with 6 weeks of just mulch mowing and nothing else my lawn is thick and green. I can see this "cheap" (I paid $225 in store) mower lasting me years without any problems and proper maintenance.
it works great it was easy to build just add gas and oil that it came with im happy with it
Have a small yard and just started mowing again. Easy to put together and best part usually starts in one pull
Great little machine. Easy to assemble. Great job with the mulch option. I use the product to mow the areas my tractor will not get.
I had a problem, lawnmower would't start, got fresh gas at the gas station and still won't start, found out the gas was bad. Went to Lowe's got some Briggs & Stratton Fresh Start Fuel Stabilizer Plus, added to the next gas and started the very first time. No problem since, great product.
