This is my first ownership of a WORX yard tool but it won’t be my last! The 40V Lithium Battery makes this a super powerful blower with as much or more blowing capacity as my old gas model. The initial charge time for the battery was app 6 hours. After a quick assembly - only took me a couple of minutes, I immediately took it for a test run. I was impressed with the power, light weight and easy handling and especially like the ease of operation - a simple flip of the switch for on and off plus the fact that it has two speeds. My test run was a short one, just so excited over this new tool I had to try it out. However, the next day my wife beat me to it! She blew our driveway and sidewalks and couldn’t stop taking about how much she liked it over our old gas model. I highly recommend this WORX blower! Pros: Super quick and easy assembly No gas to mix, a big savings and convenience Does everything my old gas model does and maybe even a little better Much quieter than gas models Compact size battery charger requires small space to use and store Cordless 2-speed control Lightweight (6.3 lbs per manual) Long run time This this is a must have yard tool, something everyone needs Great looking tool that should last for years! 3 Years Limited Warranty Cons: None so far!!
I was looking for a cordless blower to replace my corded blower which was working great but having to fight a long cord was a becoming a struggle. Searched the web for hours but had a hard time finding one that I could have confidence in having enough power and enough battery life to do the job without spending over $200. Found the Worx 580 at Wal Mart for $118 and pulled it up on the web. Mo reviews found but reviews on other Worx models were good. Bought it and tried it out today on my front yard and driveway. Had a large amount of leaves and pollen seeds in the rocks. Battery took 8 hours to fully charge. The blower had great balance with easy of handling. Did a great job, never having to go beyond low power. Ran it for 10 minutes with no battery issues. Bottom line is the unit has as much power as my corded blower and extremely easy to handle.
I have a long sidewalk that goes from our house to the lake that is full of mature trees. My daughter uses a wheelchair and to much debris makes the path difficult to use. I was using my corded blower and 3 long extension cords but it was taking about 15 minutes to setup, blow, and roll all of the chords up and they still didn't reach all the way to our dock I finally broke down and bought the 40V blower. Now it can blow all the way down to the dock and be done it about 5 minutes. Well worth the money and plenty of powerful to blow off anything it has faced so far. I also have the 40V pressure washer so they share batteries and help keep the external areas of the house and dock free of bugs, webs, and rain splatter that are constant in East Texas.
Easy setup, uses the same 40v battery in the WG180 Trimmer/edger and WG280 Hedge trimmer. Initial battery charge took about 8 hours then 2 to 4 hours thereafter. Product has two speeds with the switch conveniently placed in the handle. Low speed good for light duty, high for heavier cover of leaves. Not having to handle gas and/or oil makes this product very convenient to use. It is very compact and therefore takes up very little space in the garage. Battery lasts about 40 min. Very well designed...highly recommended.
This is the first cordless blower I have purchased and I have not been disappointed. It's light, well balanced and relatively quiet. A single charge has given me well over one hour of use and it doesn't seem to be slowing down. I no longer feel limited by the hassles of having to drag a cord all around. I also really like that this blower has 2 speeds. The low speed is perfect for blowing out the garage. The high speed did a great job with my spring yard clean up, including getting the winter leaves out from underneath the azalea bushes. I would highly recommend this product.
I got this trimmer to trim my overgrown bushes that I left untouched since last fall around the house. Assembling the handle to the trimmer was kind of tricky and needed some muscle. I thought I was going to break the thing, but once the handle snapped into place, everything was fine. It sliced through like butter anything that can fit through its teeth. The battery life when fully charge is more than enough for my 5-6 bushes. What is also great is that 40v battery works with my other 40v worx trimmer. It does take long to charge though. Overall, it got the job done!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased our Worx leaf blower about 10+ years ago. We have used and abused it terribly. It gets used about three to four times a week for at least 30 minutes each use. I have this to say, it is AMAZING!! The power of the air it blows far exceeds every battery-powered leaf blower we tried. We tried three other models from different manufacturers and ended up returning each of them. Once we bought the Worx model, we will never go back to any other company. We are now going to purchase the WG584 model to replace our worn-out blower. We have two batteries for our current blower and get anywhere from 30-45 minutes of use. More than enough to complete most jobs you have. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this blower.
This blower has some serious power! In the high setting you can really feel it pushing back on your hand, but it's still light weight. It's strong enough to easily push gravel around. I previously had a 40V black and decker blower, but this one blows that one out of water. Good job on a great product, worx!
I love my new 40V cordless Worx hedge trimmer. I had originally wanted to replace my Black and Decker Hedge Hog with another plug in trimmer. I had thought that by switching to a cordless trimmer that I would be sacrificing power and it would run out of juice before I was ready to quit for the day. I am so glad I made the switch to this rechargeable trimmer. A single charge lasts for hours. My new Worx cordless trimmer also weighs less and is better balanced than other trimmers I have tried. The time that I save by not having to drag around cords is a huge plus and I feel that the price is more than fair for the quality you get. I highly recommend this trimmer.
While not as strong as a gas blower, it is far more convenient. The battery has decent performance but charge time is 8hrs. Big jobs are largely impractical. Great for keeping sidewalks clean and swept. Great performance considering the brushed motor. Go for the 56v if you want more of everything.
