I have split about 6 cords of wood so far. 338 cc 11 hp motor easy to pull start with its compression release. I have only used splitter in vertical mode. This is due our rounds of wood being apx 36 inches in diameter. Great tool easy to assemble.
The Splitter was easy to assemble for the most part, you will have to Purchase two 5 gallon pails of Hydraulic Fluid and motor Oil to complete the project. The only issue I had with the assembly was installing the wheel Bearings. I had to place a plastic pipe over the shaft and gently pound the bearings into place. The machine starts easy, pull once in the choke position and then no choke position. I was able to split the huge logs 40 inch in the vertical postion and the machine didn't even feel it, no change in the RPM no strain at all. This machine is a beast not a Little toy. I am very pleased with my purchase.
