Having this log splitter helps time and money getting firewood ready. Worth the investment. It has a safety feature you have to use two hands to make sure you don't accidentally smash your head. 5-Tons seems to be plenty of power for what I need.
1. Best feature here is being able to communicate directly with distributor if needed in future. 2.Price point relative to others for similar product. 3.If you're "Handy' this unit may be tweaked to allow YOU to be more productive. A. Making switch and control lever work simultaneously saving time plus far better hand control of block about to be split. Another option for the "Handy guy' keep the motor running non stop until you finish then unplug. The stopping and starting in the first second or two is absolutely the most expensive. Think!! stop and starting a car, truck, what ever, needless energy loss. I run my splitter nine hours steady. I KNOW, by reading electric meter on pole. B. File or grind down edge steel wedge for 20 to 30 percent overall operating improvement.
Pleased with our purchase. Easy to operate. Works well for what we needed. If you have green wood or large pieces to split you would need one with a little more power.
Much larger than the picture shows. Ready to go right out of the box and makes fast work of splitting logs for firewood. Good purchase, happy I got this.
The log splitter is sturdy and heavy, capable of splitting wood non-stop for hours as long as you need to finish the job. Thank goodness it has wheels to move around on. I love this thing it helps so much.
Works well on wood that is NOT green. If the wood is green the splitter can only handle up to 5 inches or less. If you want to split green wood then get a 10 ton splitter. In my case I will wait a season to split my green logs. This All Power splitter does a very good job on seasoned wood. I am happy with it. For my personal use I can wait for the logs to dry out.
Like it. At about 100#, it's about as heavy as I want to muscle around. Use auto ramps to get up to a.working level. Splitting Alder rounds about 12" thick with no problem. Don't stand behind it when splitting. .

You must have the correct electrical supply, as indicated in the instruction booklet, for this splitter to work. We are using a 12 gauge, 25ft. extension cord, and it works great! I left off one star because it came missing some a bolt and nut for attaching the handle, but that doesn't effect the splitting function.
I like that he had wheels to move around with makes it easy I didn't like that the plug has to go directly to an outlet for 120 outlet so you can't run extension cord to it
