THIS ELECTRIC SHOVEL IS AWWWWWESOME!!! I freaking love it! It has cut down the time and energy it takes to clean out my parking spots, driveway and stairs along with the porch!! 5 out of 5 stars plus!!
good quality. works as advertised but mine iz not the wireless but i think its better coz ill just connect it to a long extension cord which r cheap n dknt need to recharge in order to finish my wkrk
Arrived as promised. Needed to purchase an extension cord. The cord on the shovel is only about 6” long. Runs great. Have not used it in the snow yet. Hopefully it doesn't snow and I won't need to use it. lol. Wishful thinking
This is an adequate snow removal tool. We had our first snow here in Ft Collins CO of 11 inches (powder and wet snow mix). I did two passes of mine and my neighbors driveway which is really what I wanted it for. It works GREAT on long open stretches of concrete, pavement. Sidewalks not so much as it throws the snow straight out. Some thoughts if your are thinking about this: 1. The cord - I purchased this due to the price point ($70) and not sure how the battery shovels would work. It really stinks lugging the cord around and I tripped a few times and almost sucked up the cord, but I got into a rhythm and figured it out. 2. The unit does get a bit heavy picking it up and setting down. 3. Plastic blade and auger. I caught a few bigger branches and stones, scarred the heck out of me and we'll see how long these last before replacing the parts which are available on walmart.com and snow joe.com. So why the five stars? It did what I purchased it for - clear driveways without breaking my back. Recommend this product for smaller driveways, decks or patios.
Perfect for all jobs pays for itself in the first few weeks of winter
What a great invention. This thing works like a champ. I really did not have use for a full blown snow blower. This little jewel does the job of cleaning my shop approach very nicely. The price was right and the product appears to be well made. My brother had one and raved about how well it worked. So, now I have my own. Would recommend to anyone needing to clear sidewalks or a small driveway.
Arrived just in time for record setting snowfalls in IA. After living in a condo for 26 years and not worrying about snow removal, our new home has a short driveway, sidewalks and two decks that we are responsible for. The area is not big enough for a heavy full-size snow blower, so the Snow Joe is perfect for the job. It's fairly easy to operate, although one has to hold in a button and trigger at the same time to start (a challenge with gloves on) and then you must continue to squeeze the trigger while in operation. It's a sturdy machine and is easy to operate when plowing a straight path. Since you are unable to control the direction that the snow is thrown, it's best to operate it with the wind at your back.
I got this because I am getting older and thought it would relieve some of the pressure of shoveling. It is useful in powdery snow and it is much like vacuuming. It is heavier than I would like but I can manage it ( I am a 5ft woman) although the chord takes some practice. The worst thing is that it blows snow back. I would think they could make one that blows out the side and this is what I encourage them to design for no one wants the snow ahead of them where it has to be moved again but to the side. With some work this could be an excellent product.
I found it to be too clunky and not easy do you use. I found that you have to have a lot of strength in your hands to be able to put push the button in and keep your hand on the trigger.
It only works in 2-3” of light powdery snow. A manual shovel is easier to use. This is too heavy for light use and useless for more than 4” of snow especially if it's not the powdery kind. The snow throwing is one directional and cannot be controlled. Waste of money.
