WORKS BETTER THAN EXPECTED, FOR the price and voltage.
Lightweight, easy to use, adjustable length for my height. Does a great job. exceeds my expectations.
This weed eater/ blower combo meets all my expectations for a cordless outdoor tool. Lots of power, lightweight & easy to use. I normally don't like to run a weed eater but this unit makes it easier.
I bought this combo set because I was tired of getting an extension cord out but didn't want the hassle or cost of gas tools. So far they're great. The leaf blower is meant for patios, decks, and driveways. Meaning it isn't strong enough to push a pile of leaves through the grass. When my battery dies I just pop in the backup one:)
I find the trimmer and sweeper great for my small yard area. It much more convient that my gas units. I can do the yard with a single battery charge.
Got this mostly because it came with 2 batteries which alone are 80 bucks, so pretty much got the trimmer and blower for 12 bucks. They do a good job at the light work i need to do. The trimmer is really good for getting the weeds in my ditch being so lite and easy to move around. The blower has enough force to clear the leaves and grass from the driveway without a cord which is really nice. Overall a very good value.
The product arrived on time and in good shape. I have only used it once but am well pleased with it. It is only good for light trimming but that is what I want; I have several palm trees and realize that a heavier trimmer can do much damage to them; even kill them. Since I only need a trimmer to trim along fences and around trees this one is ideal.
Used this product twice now; loved that it was easy to assemble and use. Very nice product for the money; don't plan on handling landscaping level work on larger yards...
The battery begins draining the minute you stop charging and it doesn't last long. We bought the combo and the battery only lasted for 5 minutes for the sweeper. The other battery pack lasted about 20 minutes when used on the trimmer. The trimmer works well and we were able to get a lot done in 20 minutes, but if you have a big area to do....you'll be needing multiple charges.
Although I own and happily use several B&D power tools, this one proved to be NOT worthy of the Black and Decker name! The problem is the batteries -- even after the initial 9-hour charge, they are unable to operate the sweeper for more than 2 or 3 minutes without running down. This is not acceptable and I will be contacting Customer Service for assistance in returning the units.
