Bought this when they first came out because I had willows to trim and cut down. I was 65 at the time, lived alone in the country. The last thing I wanted was to get hurt! It has been wonderful and all who have used it loves it! Grandson has it now trimming some stuff! I have screwdrivers, trimmers, a blower and love them all. Lightweight so good for us old people. I am 73 now and seems like not a day goes by that I don't use one of your tools. Just bought the pressure washer and just learning how to us it! My daughter asked for one of the pistol screw drivers for mother's day because mine is always out! I need some new heads as great grandson has stopped some of mine! Love your stuff!
I purchased the Jawsaw Chainsaw for my husband as a gift to help with Spring clean-up in the yard. After winter months we generally have a lot of branches and sticks to clear from the yard. He is very pleased with the ease of use and performance. He is looking forward to trying the extension pole.
I ordered the jawsaw on Tuesday and it arrived on Thursday. I wanted it for the Labor day weekend. We have 5 plus acres and a lot of trees. My wife saw this product and thought it would benefit us as we mow all the property and have tree limbs hanging everywhere. Yesterday we tried the jawsaw for the first time. The rechargeable version is perfect because we can carry it anywhere. I was very impressed that we cut down over 35 branches 2in to 4in in diameter and the 20v battery was still not out of charge. Now the chain did come off twice but was very easy to reinstall and maybe I was being to aggressive and forcing the cut. We'll see if the saw is durable enough for the next job but its first test gets an "A". Walmart also gets an "A" for having this product in stock and with the free shipping getting it to us in just two business days.
I bought this to be able to trim tree branches and to take care of downed branches, if needed. I am a recent widow and needed to have something I can handle and take care of and this has met those needs very well, This saw cuts through branches very quickly and in my opinion, is much safer to use than other chainsaws.
After watching some of the videos of the tool doing actual work, I had to have it. It easily cut thru some 2” to 3” dead fall around the yard into manageable/stackable pieces. Plenty of power for the job and much easier and faster than using a lopper or bow saw. I found the single 20V battery was sufficient to drive the saw. The tool is a little heavy when attached to the 5' extension but once the limb is in the jaws it's easier to handle than a regular chain pole saw. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have received my jawsaw today one day prior to estimated date. Tomorrow I will use my jawsaw. I purchased an extra battery just in case I need it. Well I used the the jawsaw and cut low hanging limbs, all in the 2" to 4" diameter. I cut and cut for about an hour. Then I went into the woods and cut down a 28 foot sappling 4 1/2" and cut up the sappling into 2 foot sections and trimed off all limbs, (I hunt and the tree was in my way). The cutting seemed to go so fast. Then I looked at all that I have cut and saw the tremendous amount of cleanup I had to do. Well it was all cleaned up and I could not believe how easy it was. Then I forgot I had another set of low hanging limbs to cut. Well the battery still had plenty of power left to do the job. When I finally finished I did run down the battery. Well there is another day to try. I have gas and electric saws, but this was much easier for smaller limb sizes cuts. The extension pole saved a lot of time since I did not need to use a ladder. This is one product that worx sells and I will probable try some of their other products. Great product guys. Ps - the chain never came off like some other reviews I read, I think the others must have tried to force things.
This is a great product . I have always had a chain saw but for most trimming or cleanup jobs around the yard this is far safer and easier to use. It is not to be used for cutting down trees but for 4 inch limbs and even cutting them on the ground , this is the best tool I have ever used. Best money I have spent.
Works as advertised. Heart condition makes it so hard to lift more than once.
Purchased the battery version with the extension and have used it extensively for overhead work. So, here are a couple things to note. The full length of the saw with the extension is about six feet. So, while using it. the majority of the weight of the tool is at the end of this length. With that, overhead work takes some balance and leverage. While horizontal work requires muscling the unit. So, for most safe overhead work above ten feet, you will still be using a ladder. As far as effectiveness, the battery unit is limited in the speed the chain saw operates, (the 120v unit may turn at a higher revolution). So, depending on the hardness of the limbs you are cutting, it can take some time to cut through a larger diameter limb. For softer woods or smaller diameter work, it cuts right through. You just have to be patient with the thicker, harder cuts. You do have to position the saw so the swing of the cutting blade is downward. This will prevent binding the chain and allows the saw to cut with ease. I have found the battery will last for an entire days worth of trimming. Also, cutting fallen limbs on the ground is a real bonus. I think this is probably the best feature of the tool. You can trim limbs to your desired length virtually without bending over. When shipped to store the box was so damaged looked like stuff was taken out and cardboard was put on the top. Going to try and get it sent to the house instead. If it comes damaged will not order again.
