I have had problems with yard equipment in the past, but this battery operated trimmer has rid me of any further nuisance. No oil to mix, no air filter to change, and no more headaches
I purchased this trimmer because of my budget. I had read the reviews of this trimmer versus others in this price range and felt that this would be the best buy. It is. This trimmer so far has done a great job of cutting vines, grass and assorted brush. The charge on it, using the lithium battery has been excellent. The trimmer is lightweight and with just a press of a button you can rotate the head to edge your driveway, yard, etc. It's better unlike other units I've used that had me frustrated with poor designs. The auto feed is a nice touch, as bumping to feed breaks over time and leads to manually refeeding the string. Again, this trimmer has made detailing my yard a joy again.
I HAVE SO FAR ENJOYED MY B&D TRIMMER. I WISH THE BATTERY CHARGED FASTER AND FOR THE TRIMMER TO BE A COUPLE LBS LIGHTER. WORKS GOOD, I HAVE SHOWED IT TO SOME FRIENDS. FOR ONE WITH MY DISABILITIES IT WORKS GREAT, NO WORRYING WITH TRYING TO GET IT STARTED, NO OIL AND GAS. I REALLY LIKE BEING ABLE TO BALLANCE IT SO EASLY. ANYONE WOULD ENJOY THIS TRIMMER FOR WORK AROUND THE YARD.
Nice and light and easy to use. Time will tell how long the batteries last, but for now I can do my whole yard, which is pretty big, on 1 battery and still have power left over.
I finally had enough of my old gas trimmer. I had been looking for a while at trimmers and couldn't find one that I really liked. A guy I knew had just bought this one and liked it. So I figured I would buy this one. I loved it the first time I used it. It was easy to assemble and is pretty light weight. I like that there are two power settings. I only needed to use the higher power setting when edging along the sidewalk where the grass was badly overgrown. The wheel makes edging a lot easier as well. I have a small yard so I can't give a good review of the battery life. All in all this is a great product for the price.
When used for light trimming battery goes and goes, heavy trimming & edging not so much, but still does a good job. Rotation of head and length adjustment are easy. It has good balance..
This was worth buying and this same trimmer/edger was actually $10 cheaper at Walmart than at Home Depot. Plus it arrived at the Walmart store earlier than anticipated.
I purchased this trimmer a few weeks ago as I needed a tool that was easy to handle on my 75ft x 300ft property. For my purposes, this trimmer was fantastic. Light-weight, easy to handle, no cords to drag behind, no messing around with gasoline. Only gave it 4 stars because even with 2 batteries I couldn't quite finish the trimming in my whole yard before having to recharge them, but in all fairness I did put it through a pretty rigorous work out. Love this trimmer!
I bought this so that my wife and boys could edge after cutting the grass. My gas trimmer was too hard for them to start and use. I have to tell you that this is a fantastic product! Just need to keep the battery charged and you have about an hour of trimming time. It is very easy to use and is ready in seconds. Very light and balanced. takes care of my 1/2 acre yard with ease. I also have the 20V hedge trimmer and the battery fits either product.
Product works great except for a few problems, which could be solved in the manufacturing process. 1) The battery provided takes up to 8 hours to charge with the charger provided. My best runtime so far has been about 45 minutes from full charge to dead battery. 2) The spool provided with the trimmer will only last about the amount of time it takes to run the battery down from a full charge. Higher powered batteries are available. They will last at least twice as long. A one hour charger is also available The trimmer works as good as my Sears gas trimmer, but only weighs about 20 % as much as my gas unit Spools with more line are available, but not included.
