Absolutely love ! Totally wore out my first one ! Not supposed to left over the weight of a gallon of water .. and this is it ! Less than 8 lbs ! Let's me do what I couldn't do otherwise .. mini-mower, weed eater , edger .. all in one ! Best thing I've ever found that lets me do what NEEDS to be done , not dealing with weight of heavier item !
Lightweight and easy to use. I found using it as a weeder worked best on my overgrown lawn. Once I got it down to a shorter height I used it as a mower to even it out. It's not going to give you the same manicured results as a high powered mower and if that's your thing then this isn't for you but I like that I can get to areas that a big mower can't and I love that I can just pop the battery in and it's good to go without having to mess with gasoline. I don't mind raking the clippings and getting a nice workout at the same time and again, if that's not your thing then skip this little city mower. Using it as an edger also works great. Each battery lasts over 20 minutes so between the 2 I had enough power to do the back and front lawns. Great for smaller lawns, maintenance and anyone who'd rather not deal with using gas.
Being in the third stage of COPD I struggle to breathe when exerting myself. The small weed eater/mower helped a great deal. It was easy to use and saved me a great deal of effort. I love it. I tried another brand that came with all the wang, bangs and bells but it fell apart on the second use. I should have known better than to buy an off brand. You. cannot go wrong withe purchasing this weed trimmer!!!
I live in rural West Virginia. Have been 'eyeballing' this Black and Decker 3 in 1 for over a year. Amazon had it on a daily special for $99 bucks, had it in my cart and continued to shop, by the time I was done they had raised the price to $153!! No, I didn't buy it from Amazon. Came straight here to Walmart, bought the two items here that I had had in my Amazon cart. The mower/trimmer/edger came quickly. We had one day of no rain in between several days of rain. I was anxious to try this 3 in 1. It comes with charger and two batteries, and I have another spare that also works with 20v black and decker systems. So I have 3 batteries that fit. So, the first try out, was a small patch in front of the house. With some tougher and taller grass because it was the first mowing and trimming of the year. THIS LITTLE BABY WORKS WONDERS!! Easy to put together, takes some time to get batteries fully charged, and since I had spare battery, that means I had spare charger as well. So for me it was half the time. I don't have a postage stamp sized yard, and there is lots that need mowed/trimmed that the riding mower can't get to. This Black and Decker 3 in 1 is the absolutely spot on thing needed to finish our yard. We recently put in non movable décor in our front yard, now the rider doesn't fit through there, but this 3 in 1 took care of it. First by mowing it, then weed eating around the décor, porch front and sides and flower beds. I really don't like and didn't want a gasoline push mower, or an electric push mower with cords to contend with. I wanted a quick and easy and lightweight solution and this is it! Now that we have the first mowing/trimming of the season done, the rest will be even easier to maintain because the first one was really too tall and overgrown in spots. I am near 60, short and fat. My spouse who is recovering from an injury to his shoulder was able to use this on the backyard with one hand, all over the backyard. We can both use this lightweight 3 in 1 just fine! I also have the Black and Decker 40 volt trimmer with 13 inch head. It's awesome no doubt. But this 3 in 1 is smaller, lighter weight and mows! It will be my go to. Worth every penny. I have seen a video where a woman is just using it in all directions going very quickly. It works better to take a few seconds to let it do it's job. I wasn't in a race or hurry, just wanted something lightweight that works. And it does. It also mulches the grass as it mows so it's not throwing grass and weeds all over you, the house, your cars etc. ,either!!

Sometimes the simple solutions are the best - and in this case that's the truth. The little mower wheel attachment is sheer genius. It works like a charm and is so easy to use. It feels like a child toy, but in a good way! It's kinda fun bc it's so easy. My husband calls it "my 1st weed eater" and honestly, it feels about like a kids bubble mower, but it gets the job done beautifully in small spaces without breaking my back. I highly recommend it!
I have a small grass area in my yard about 20 ft. x 9 ft.. I have a lawnmower which is kind of big and my trimmer broke. Replacing it with Black and Decker Cordless is the best thing I did. The lawnmower portion is not heavy duty but for my area, it is perfect as I can mow, edge and trim with one hand!
This three in one tool is very useful but my primary reason for buying was the mower housing portion with the four support wheels. I am a retired mechanical engineer and the loose tolerances between the housing and the unit seem to be the problem with the mower housing disengaging from the unit. I have used a simple bungee cord to help to eliminate this issue and it seems to really help. Please see the attached photos. Thanks for this lightweight very useful tool.
I bought this for my mom, as she has a berm on the side of her house that runs up against a road. As she is getting older, holding onto a heavy mower from the top, and letting it down a couple feet to seems more and more unsafe. I couldn't figure out how to do this safely. This light mower seemed like the perfect option for the downward incline. Sadly, the trimmer doesn't seat well in the mower platform, so it pops out. We had to return it. Might try and re-order to see if it was a single defective item.
Unfortunately, the lovely |mower| portion of this contraption doesn't function at all. What a waste of time and money this purchase was. Looks like a great idea if only it worked.
