This chair exceeded my expectations! I wasn't totally sure what the quality of the chair would be with the low price and not being able to see it in the store before I purchased. But I was very pleasantly surprised! The chair was easy to put together and is very solid. It looks beautiful on my porch and it is comfortable too!
This chair is very sturdy and solid. It was a little bigger than I expected. It's not oversized by any means, just a really good size. It was a good purchase!
These chairs are very comfortable and large enough and shaped to accomodate my home made cushions on the seat. This is a plain sturdy chair made from quality wood with a beautiful finish and that is what we primarily needed. The chairs do not stack like our old lawn chairs but that is okay anyway.
These chairs met and exceeded our expectations! Great style, exceptional value, very well made, and easy to assemble. Many of our friends have done their outdoor living areas with significantly more expensive furnishings, but our Cambridge chairs hold up nicely in carparison to the "competition." Wal-Mart Site-to-Store shopping is great. We will continue to shop there and recommend it to our toney friends! Who knew you could find it at Wal-Mart?!?
I bought four of these chairs paired with the Cambridge table. I'm very happy with the quality of the materials and the workmanship. They were extremely easy to assemble with good quality hardware and all the tools (including a phillips head screwdriver!) in the package. This chair has outside dimensions of 24" wide.
I needed additional seating in my tiny garden to compliment my garden bench. These single seat benches were the perfect choice. I found them on sale and purchased two. They were easy to assemble and everyone from young to old, humans and pets have found them very comfortable. My 84-year-old mother who has arthritis is very happy to visit, sit in the garden and has no trouble getting up from the chair. This was an excellent find.
I have never seen a piece of furniture easier to assemble. I have had a stroke and lost the use of one arm and was still able to assemble it by myself (with no help). The connection dowels and bolts were completely aligned without any "minor" jiggling, as is usual for this type of furniture. I BOUGHT A SECOND ONE!
This chair is well-made with a fine finish. Too pretty to put outside! In fact, I have it in my living room! Would have been helpful to have more detailed instructions.
This chair is bigger than it looks - very wide and quite pretty. Solid wood, great color and patina. Not too hard to assemble. It doesn't suit our purposes (as a dining chair), but it is still an excellent value.
I ordered two of these chairs at the $69 clearance price point, based on for the most part, very good reviews. Honestly, by the time tax is included, these chairs are in the $75 price point. In my opinion, that is a little too pricey for these chairs. I can't believe anyone would give the original $99 price. A $49 price is more of what they are worth. This is a soft wood that is easily cracked, scratched, etc...so you do need to be careful with them if you care anything about the way they look and longevity. With that said, they are decent chairs. Assembly is easy. There is only A, B, C sets of screws, of 4 pieces each. D is the two little hexagon tools included. There is only a picture diagram included, no instructions. It's self explanatory once you study the diagram. Start assembly by going with the A screws, then the B screws, and finally the C screws. You'll be connecting each side of the chair first, then the seat, and lastly the back. After assembled the seat measurements are 23 1/2 x 19. That is, 23 1/2 across, and 19 from front to back. Therefore, if you are wanting to purchase cushions, that would be the largest size you could go with. A cushion about 21 or 22 inches across and 18 inches from front to back, would fit nicely. These chairs will last a long time if placed under roof, such as a patio roof, porch roof, balcony roof. If you place them in the full open weather, it would be a good idea to oil them first. They are decent chairs, look nice, will look even nicer with a cushion and perhaps a toss pillow. I just think they are a tad over priced. One more thing, they are not heavy. They are sturdy and adequate weight but not heavy at all. They are also not extremely wide but wider than an average chair. They are sufficiently comfortable enough without cushions.
