I searched high and low for lounge chairs for our pool deck and settled on these. We wanted something in wood but were shocked by the price of most everything we found. I was a little skeptical of these chairs because they were so much cheaper than others we had looked at but took a chance and ordered them. They were very easy to assemble and very attractive. We had one small damaged part in two chairs and I called the manufacturer (Unique Arts) from the number on their web site and was shipped a new part immediatly. I would defintely buy them again!
This product seems to be a very good value and is as promised. It is very comfortable to use with a good cushion. The slide out tray is a very good feature.
This lounger was more than I thought it would be. I have seen these priced much higher and the quality of the wood is very, very nice. It is very sturdy and well made. I bought a beautiful cushion from walmart also to go with it and it looks so nice, I feel like I am at a resort everytime I sit in it.
I shopped around and surfed the web and found this lounger at the Walmart site. I then read the reviews before I bought the lounger. Like other reviewers I am planning to buy a second one soon. It is perfect.
I was a little worried when I first opened the box and saw screws and bolts floating freely. Someone had cut a hole in the box, evidently to use as a handle in carrying it. In the process, they completely severed the bottom of the plastic bag holding the hardware. It is a miracle nothing fell out. My fear was soon replaced with excitement as I discovered how easy the lounger is to assemble, and the high quality of the wood, and the hardware. The predrilled holes lined up exactly. Everything fit together perfectly. This lounger is a very sturdy, attractive, quality piece of furniture. I am very happy with it.
My wife wanted chairs like this, and these are VERY similar to products that Pottery Barn sells for almost $500.00 per chair! I thought the shipping charge was excessive at just under $50.00 per chair (I bought 2). By the time you add tax and shipping, the cost adds up to closer to $225.00 per chair before you even buy cushions. Still, they are a tremendous value. Mine were made in Vietnam (the ad says USA or imported). One of my chairs arrived with a broken slat on the slide out drink tray. I glued it myself rather than go through the hassle of trying to return it. Overall, a great value. Well made and quite comfortable. I'm 6'1" tall, and they fit me just fine.
I bought two of these chairs because I have bought so many cheaper chairs that all rusted and broke. I am tired of buying new chairs every Summer so I hope these last us a long, long time. They were pretty easy for my husband to put together as the main piece of the lounger is one long piece. I'm glad he took the truck to pick them up as they would not have fit into a trunk because they are so long. They appear to be very heavy duty and seem like they'll last a long time. I also bought 2 of the Skyworks Carribean Chaise Cushions for them and they are very comfortable. The only thing I don't like is the back doesn't go completely up into a straight seated position. The highest one is reclining a bit. But other than that they are great! I had them sent site to store so there was no shipping charge, which saved us a lot of money!
My local wood things shop had the strathwood chairs that look the same. The Strathwood are absolute junk. I bought two of these Unique Arts loungers instead and they are 50 times better. No leaking on deck after 3 months in the rain. Rock solid. Don't buy Strathwood. Buy these. The extra money is worth it.
This is a good quality item and was easy to put together. My only qualm is you cannot adjust it to be able to sit up. The only adjustment choices are for leaning back or laying. Other than this it is a very nice lounge chair. I also purchased(from Walmart) a 5 1/2" deep cushion for it and it's really comfortable and supportive.
This Chaise is perfect and the only assembly requried was putting on the legs. All of the tools needed were enclosed and it was packaged well so even though the box had some damage the chair didn't. I only wish that they sold the cushion shown on the website as well. Instead I purchased on seperately but it is thicker than the one shown.
