I did a lot of on line browsing before making this table my final purchase. My son and his friend put the table together. They were impressed by the ease of the assembly and the quality of the product. Six arm chairs fit comfortably around it. It truly is beautiful and an excellent quality table.
This table is well made and easy to put together. We have teak furniture and this table fits in just fine. You would think this table cost a lot more. It is a great addition to our deck furniture. The only thing I would mention is that the name of this product has changed from Sheraton to Cambridge. Lastly, the description mentions it is made out of Yellow Balau and the package we received says Eucalyptus wood. It does not matter to us; however, it might to someone else. Overall, this table is terrific.
We just receieved this and so far it is beautiful! I purchased teak oil and am going to polish the furniture with it to keep it nice from any harsh weather. When putting it together some of the holes did not match up perfectly but with a little thought process I got it to work. Over all excellent!!!
I was a bit hesitant to purchase this item when I saw the cost for the set. But when I was cost comparing, I found the same set for over twice the price, I knew I better grab it. Based on other shoppers ratings and comments, I bought the set. It came as scheduled and looked wonderful when assembled. I did not put it together myself, but the guys who did said it was easy. I followed the advice to rub it with teak oil and sure enough, it rained as soon as I finished! It held up in the rain perfectly. It is comfortable, sturdy, beautiful, and I've already gotten many compliments on the set. It is well worth the price and I'm glad I spent it.
This is a very solid, sturdy table for the price and a very pretty color too! It was relatively easy to put together, using only the L-wrenches that were provided. About half an hour to put together. We've only used it a few times because the weather isn't quite outdoor-eating friendly yet, but is is a great sized table, easily fitting 6 and I think can fit up to 8. The umbrella hole is a nice feature too. I was at an outdoor furniture store a few weeks before buying this one and they had the exact design for $1800. It was an Australian wood, surely a better quality wood, but how can you beat the price? Overall, a GREAT VALUE for the nice design and good quality of the table. I didn't see any chairs that were supposed to go with it, so that would have been a nice option. I just bought chairs separately from somewhere else. We decided to apply teak oil to keep it lasting longer. We also used "site to store" free shipping, which saved us some money and was pretty straight forward.
The Table and 4 chairs are excellant, very good quality, easy to assemble, they even used dowl rods in the construction very nice.
After spending several hours online on different retail websites. I found for the type of wood and quality this by far was the best deal. Recived items when I was told the only down fall this item was online only and did not have site-to-store option so I had to pay for shipping. Easy to assemble and very pleased with my set.
It was fairly easy to assemble. The table is heavy enough to not blow away, but light enough to be easily moved for the winter season. It isn't the best of quality (wood) but hey...it's for outside and going to endure the elements. One disappointment was that I had a candle in a metal bucket ( a citronella one) on the table and after it rained, it left a large black ring from the metal bucket. I was pretty upset as I just got the table. There is really no getting it off and I've even tried to stain it. Maybe it should be sealed with something before use.
Sturdy, solid and easy to assemble. The thickness of the table top is 1-1/2 inches. Although there is a hole for the umbrella on the top of the table, there isn't a hole near the bottom, so you will need to purchase an umbrella stand. I have no idea what the finish on the table is, but it was obviously sprayed on after the top was assembled, therefore the slats on the top are "sealed" but the sides of those slats (which are also exposed to the elements) are not. I am trying to find out if I should (1) put teak oil over the factory finish and/or (2) if teak oil is the best way to preserve eucalyptus. So far, I am getting mixed reviews on using any type of oil on outdoor furniture, mainly because of the mildew factor. I would love to hear how others have treated their furniture, and the results. I am happy with the looks of the table and would like it to last a long time.
I live in Chicago and this table looked like garbage after one winter. It is a heavy and solid table. Year 2 I had to sand it all down and restain it. However some of the planks absorbed water and split. For 300 bucks plus stain, I should have built a table.
