These lights exceed my expectations. I bought them because they would look good on top of the 4/4 posts. They do. But the light is far brighter than expected. I bought six of them and would highly recommend them.
We bought two of these last summer after having out deck remodeled. They are so pretty we decided to order several more this summer to place all around the deck.
These solar post lights are by far much nicer than the ones I originally bought at a leading store and have since returned. They are much better in price too!
We installed them in the afternoon, and they were shining nicely that evening. Easy to install, they fit over a 4x4 post and also had an adapter piece for a different mounting method. They look nice! Good value for the money!
I like the fact that it fits perfectly on my deck post. It has a nice glow at night. Not too strong.
I was looking for solar fence lights so I did not have to wire electricity. The lights are not as bright as I expected but are a nice accent for evenings on the patio. 2 of the 8 that I purchased a couple of months ago are no longer working. I will try to get them replaced because I like them.
I had a new deck added on to my house last year and purchased 4 sets of these lights to attach to the top of our railing. They were exactly what I needed to add a beautiful touch to the new deck. Lights were a perfect accent lighting and looked awsome at night. They held the charge and lasted throughout the entire night until dawn. I needed 2 more sets to add to the stairs this spring and both sets stopped working after 3 days. I changed the batteries and the lights would go on, but the lights would not re-charge the batteries. I kept exchanging the dead batteries with the other solar lights I had that had the good re-charged batteries and they would work but the same thing would happen over again. I did like the option to install these on top of the railing and not on top of a 4x4 post. I ordered them on-line and it took about 2 weeks to arrive site-to-store, but unfortunately I'm gonna have to return these and hope I get ones that will re-charge 'cause they really are a very nice addition to the deck. I would've definitly given this product a 5 star rating across the board for the first 4 sets of lights but due to the fact that the last two sets would not re-charge the batteries, I had to lower the rating on this review.
you say these lights fit a 4x4 post well guess what~ THEY DON"T, way to small, had to send them back.
Lights are what I expected, but both batteries were DOA. Bright sunny days, one worked for a day or two, one not at all. Both had the plastic "strip" that you pull out of this type of device so it makes contact metal to metal. Had to spend an additional $15.00 to get four new solar AA batteries.
I purchased 20 sets for the post caps of my fence in the front and side yards because they had the look I wanted. I knew they would only be accent lighting and have a nice 'glow' and not provide pathway lighting. I read reviews all over the internet including the Walmart site before making my purchase because at $30 for 2, $600 is a major investment. After short 3 months they started to fail lighting at night. I tried replacing the rechargeable batteries because I thought that with the long life LED bulbs that the battery would be the issue. I was wrong, out of 40 lights, 16 have quit working altogether and not only am I out the $240 for the failed lights, it also cost me an additional $60 trying to get them to work again. I live in San Diego County and we have very mild weather and lots of sunshine so these lights were not subjected to severe conditions other than plenty of sunshine. They look good, initially nearly all of them functioned as the lights they are intended to be but the failure rate is unacceptable. I waited to write a review so that I could write a one that would be more honest than most I've read on this product. Too many of us rush to write a review and it doesn't give a good feel for a product. I've been very disappointed in the rate of failed lights.
