As far as I 'm concerned this is a number one pump It moves a lot of water for an extended amount of time!!
At first it was a little hard to understand how it was supposed to work and put together. Their was no instructions on how it was to go together and work. So, it was try it this way or try it that way. But it works great now that it is working.

The Pond Jet 340 is one of the best kept secrets around. I've been using it for over a year with generally great experience. For the price there is nothing to compete. However, as you can expect the unit is not perfect. I found the fittings for fountains, etc don't always screw in properly or stay in place. In fact some of the adapters don't quite fit. As a reasonably strong man I was able to force the garden hose adapter into place and make it stay connected to the pump (for now). The threads on the adapter actually did not fully match the pump screw-in. I can see where many people might have to do some serious fighting with the adapters to make them work. All said, the unit is a steal at this price and can be made to do wonderful things in your pond! I would definitely buy this pump again.
Bought this about a month ago and still working great!! I do wish it came with a filter though.
Pump functions very well, but was missing the regulator cover. My other pump broke (fish Without few days) so need it and cannot return. I regulated with flow attachments sorta
Very cheaply made. The fountain tube snapped while I was placing the pump in the pond. The cage surrounding the pump does not stay closed. I had to tie wrap it closed. There is no filter before the pump. Without a pre-pump filter, the pump will get clogged. This pump barely moves water. It takes about 5 minutes to fill a 5 gallon. The pressure is so poor That I cannot use it as a pump
Bought from hayneedle and was missing pieces. I can't say if it works but it seemed smaller than I had imagined.
I don't know if it met my expectations. There were no instructions on how to assemble it. This is the second time I have purchased a small pond fountain kit from Walmart and neither one had directions for assembly. Very disappointed
It wont stay standing up and it gets clogged up constantly
