I bought this based on how it was described and displayed in the packaging. The weather station forecast display is fine and seems to work. You do have to register the device online. But, if you are looking to quickly see the outside temp, forget it! You have to either wait for the outside temp to scroll past after the 4 day forecast or you have to press the "snooze" button on the back. When I asked the La Cross customer service rep about it, he stated that the outside temp display was "a secondary feature"! That is not what I wanted. If there were a way to reconfigure the display, I would be happy. But there is not. This unit is being returned.
