The patio clock this one replaces had the clock in the small space so this one is much easier to read from a distance and much more colorful...we're very pleased with it.
I searched for quite a while to find the right clock/thermometer to go with my tropical-style back yard and this works perfectly. The hand-painted finish makes the cast-resin clock look high-quality (particularly the "bamboo" frame), and the themometer and clock in one device is a great idea for folks who don't want to clutter up their backyard walls.
The clock has not worked correctly since I received it. It has stopped several times for no apparent reason.
We ordered the indoor/outdoor clock/thermometer from walmart.com with free delivery to our local store. That's a great service and we'll order that way again. We got the clock home and tried 3 different sets of new batteries, so we don't think the batteries were dead. The clock ran for about 5 minutes all together. Now we have to take it back to our local store (but it's better than having to pay for return shipping) and start over. It's just disappointing to get home with a new purchase and find out it doesn't work.
I ordered 2 outside clocks. the hands fell off one of the clocks at the pick-up desk and the other one I brought home and never could get it to work right. I think this is a great value if they would do right. I will re-order and try again, hoping for more success.
The site to store shipping was fast but the clock it's self not so much. It worked for the first day then stopped. I changed the batteries just in case nope still didn't help. The hands keep getting stuck have used 3 in 1 oil still won't consistently work. Will be taking it back when I have time to go back to the store which is why I do on line shopping.
The poor clock in this product seems to be symptamatic. The problem is that the clock runs a little bit so it's not even correct twice a day. It's too bad because the design in very nice.
