For the most accurate temperature readings choose a location that will not be exposed to direct sunlight or other heat sources. The clock is water-resistant and designed for general outdoor use, however, to extend its life, place the clock in an area protected from direct weather elements. To Set Time: Turn the set knob on back of the clock movement in either direction. To Start Clock: Clock requires one "AA" battery (not included). Insert one "AA" battery (not included) as indicated in the battery compartment Thermometer Calibration: The pointer may move during shipping, causing the thermometer to read temperature inaccurately. If the thermometer is reading incorrectly, compare the temperature reading to a known accurate thermometer. Let both thermometers adjust to room temperature for at least three hours. If the new thermometer continues to read inaccurately, adjust the pointer by turning knob on the back of the unit in the appropriate direction. I received my Clock in good order, and I'm very happy with it. Wasn't happy with the 2 day shipping charge that I was told about after the clock was shipped. I wasn't aware the box was checked and it cost me $40 dollars. I called about it and the person I talked with could care less.

Loved the Clock, but I found one I really wanted, before I received this one, for CHEAPER Price! But they CHARGED me a RETURN SHIPPING FEE! I DIDN'T know about it! I still had it in the original box, plastic bag %26 protection stuff. Walmart usually takes item back to ship. Watch Out!
I had searched for a 24"" outdoor atomic clock. When it did the search it brought this up. I liked it-- was settling for something less than I have but didnt want to send [$] for an outdoor clock. This was not an atomic clock and was very light weight, the first wind will blow it away. We had to return it, since it didnt say atomic it was my error and had to pay for a return
The hands on the clock loosened up within a few months of purchase. I reattached them but they are loose again. For the price I thought I would get a clock movement that would last more than one year. Very disappointed.
Clock does not work. Hands inside glass casing are bent and interlock where hands will not turn. Poor manufacturing and inspection.
