Grandson loves it & seems sturdy even after lots of crashes!
This quad takes a beating and still keeps flying. Great quad to develop those fine motor skills necessary for a larger quad.
Thought this might be an alternate for a helicopter which I do have but for indoor fun I would recommend this one , it's Great !!!
Got it for Dad for Christmas and I should have pickup up one for myself! Easy to fly and takes a beating with the fan design it keeps flying. My four year old was flying it no problem. Great product
They have loads of fun w/it, rt. In the house. It was a Christmas gift for my husband who has everything, loves gadgets, & loves having fun w/our son. So it was a good buy for him.
My 7 yr. old grandson picked this out for his birthday. We removed it from the packaging and it worked immediately and he was thrilled. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, him or his Dad. Very cool toy and will sharpen his hand/eye coordination with it's many controls. Time will tell if it is sturdy enough to hold up to it's inevitable crashes during the learning curve.
product exceeds expectations. operated by my son and easy to control and keeps balance. this product is a better purchase then most helicopters and other RC toys.
This unusual design captivates my son's attention and could spend hours of flying it but its delicate foam frame breaks easily and within a weak the air hog helix would not turn on at all. We got it replaced with no problem because my son loves this toy!
The first disappointment came with the omission in ads about needing 9 batteries. Ads say it is rechargeable, but that is only the flying part. The second disappointment is the construction of the copter itself. It is soft styrofoam and if not handled gently will come apart easily. The recharging cable needs a USB port, not a household outlet, which is another omission. The copter holds enough charge for between 10 and 15 minutes of operating time (not flying time because it may or may not be flying--it has a distinct propensity for getting stuck under furniture and against the walls) I'm not a child, so I have little experience with gaming consoles. That said, I find the controls difficult to master. So far I've gotten it to do some simple flying but the right hand controls seem mostly non-functional and unintuitive. Up/down works consistently, if allowance is given for it going off in directions of its own choosing and only occasionally taking direction from the console. Also the console had non-functional buttons and controls that make it look like it has much greater sophistication than it actually has. After about and hour of practice, over several days because it needs frequent recharging, I'm still considering returning it.
I bought this for my son on Christmas. On Christmas day we charged it up and it flew. That was all it did. The colors didn't change like the instructions said, so we weren't able to do any tricks. The tricks instructions are hard to understand, but the flying was cool and he seemed to enjoy it. So I thought that will be fine, we'll keep it. Well.......it hasn't worked since Christmas day. The battery says it's charged but the thing won't fly. NONE, not at all. I'm taking it back to Walmart.
