[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was initially worried this product would be too thick for my windows to close. I gave it a test run on one window because they are no longer airtight. I know this because after powereashing my house, I found water on my inside window sills. The material is thick but it compresses quite nicely. It took about one minute in total to measure and stick the seal on my window. When I went to shut it, all it required was a little push and it was closed and locked. I tried to power wash again, and no water. I finished up my current roll and plan to get more to seal all the windows of my house.
I purchased the duck brand max strength expanding foam seal for doors and windows. The size I chose is a roll of 1” x 1/4” x 13’ in the color black. The foam roll is thick and sturdy and has an adhesive side for easy placement. It says it feels gaps up to 1 inch thick. I applied it to my front door. This is a pain point for me because my front door does not seal properly.. cold air gets in during the winter, cool air from air-conditioning escapes and it’s an easy point of entry for insects. I was very impressed how easy this was to apply just measure remove the adhesive stick and you’re done. I notice than a media different with the airflow. We are still in spring and I haven’t seen many insects but I know it’s right around the corner so I’m pretty excited to see how well it works. Considering it expands it will adjust to width variations. An added benefit was it provided noise reduction from the outside. At approximately $15 a roll it is a great value considering how much I’ll save in heating and air-conditioning costs. This review was collected as part of a promotion, and the opinions are my own.
The Duck expanding foam seal is a great product. It keeps out cold, heat, wind, and bugs. The best part is that it is self adhesive and super easy to use. The only tool I needed was a scissors. Definitely worth the money. This review was collected as part of a promotion and the ideas are my own.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Duck max strength expanding foam for large gaps lives up to its name. I needed something to seal the gap between the two doors on my sliding glass doors, in my walk out basement. I tried other sealing solutions but none of them worked because the gap was uneven, larger in the middle then the ends, until this product. The foam seal itself forms to almost any shape and size needed for a tight uniform seal. In my case, it goes from about 5/8” to almost 1”. It was easy to install, and I could cut it with a regular pair of scissors. What I was most impressed with was the self-adhesive on the foam. I was amazed that the foam seal stayed in place even as I slid the door over it. Now I have an air-tight seal, that before, one time in a blizzard, allowed snow into my house. There is no doubt that for large gap sealing, the Duck expanding foam is the perfect solution.
Sticks really well and really blocks out the cold.

Finally was able to stop mosquitoes from entering around my window ac- I have a U shaped one from Midea and it's great, except it was so hard to get a seal on it. I had used an excess of caulk and thinner window sealing foam strips, but I needed thicker ones because of the height differences between the ac and the extended arms to stabilize it. This saved the day, I put one strip on the bottom and on on the window edge, compressed them, and quickly shut the window. No bugs from there since then!
One of the most easiest things to use. Open, unroll, string it out, stick it to the window. It seems like it will hold the weather back pretty well...but I am not in hurry for winter to see if we will stay warmer lol. This review was collected as part of a promotion, and the opinions are my own.

I've used Duck brand weatherstripping before without issue, but this black foam strip they're using now is AWFUL at sticking to anything other than itself. I cleaned every surface beforehand and still had to keep going back 10-15 later to press it back on. Some of the strips just kept falling off (yes they were still sticky and the surfaces were clean!) so I just gave up. Spent almost $60 on weatherstripping and couldn't even do my windows for the winter. Definitely not buying this black foam strip again....I'll stick to the gray or find another brand!!
