[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was supper easy to use! I love that's it's no measuring and super durable. I have a broken window and this is the perfect thing to help keep the warm air inside since it's cold outside untill I am able to get it repaired. I would tell anyone who's needing something like this to purchase. I got this done in such a good timely manner.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This window insulation is really easy to install. The package comes with a roll of double sided tape and a roll of clear window insulation. The only other things you need are a hair dryer and a pair of scissors. We put this up on a window in our spare room that we use as an office that seems to get a lot of cold air in there during the winter. First I lined the window frame with the double sided tape and then unrolled the insulation to fit the window, leaving some extra insulation on each side of the window. After it was set on the tape all you have to do is get the hair dryer and heat up the insulation until it is wrinkle free and tight on the window. It took about 10 minutes with the hair dryer to get it tight so you have to have some patience. Having the insulation up seems to have made a big difference in the temperature of the room and stopping the draft from coming in.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried four other brands of shrink-wrap insulating on our main living room windows in the past four years, and this year we went with Duck Brand Max Strength Roll-On Window Kit, Heavy Duty Insulating Shrink Film for 3 Indoor 3' by 5' Windows. I can tell you that this is honestly the best kit for the price tag, as well as just the best all around kit that we've tried so far! It's what we're going to go with from now on, as it was easy and so quick to install, and it's done a 50 percent better job holding out drafts than any other kind we've tried in the past! I live in the Pacific Northwest, where it's pretty chilly for 75 percent of the year and down right cold in the winter months! We have been shrink-wrap insulating our windows in our living room since we moved in to our house (five years ago) that's high up on a ridge on a mountaintop. The wind up here often makes the temperature drop to what feels like at least 30 degrees colder than it really is, so insulating from cold drafts is a must. The Duck Brand Max Strength Roll-On Window Kit, Heavy Duty Insulating Shrink Film for 3 Indoor 3' by 5' Windows is literally the perfect size to fit our living room picture windows. As you can see from the picture I posted below, it did such a clear shrink-wrap insulating job that you cannot even tell it's on the windows!! The top piece of adhesive is already attached to the shrink wrap film, so all you need to do is measure out each window size and stick it up with the pre-attached adhesive. There is plenty of material so you don't have to measure on the dot and can have some overhang that you cut off after blow drying it later on. A simple swipe along the window panel with some rubbing alcohol and a heat blast from the blow dryer always makes for the best adhesion of the double-sided tape prior to sealing the film in place. A quick blow dry along the flip where it's been adhered, clip off the excess film and make it neat, and you're done! It's fool proof and so quick! I highly recommend this kit to anyone who needs to keep serious drafts out of their house. I'd even be confident leaving this up for two seasons without worry about it failing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received this window kit from TryIt Sampling. All you need is a pair of scissors and a hair dryer to put it on your windows, easy as that. It was the easiest plastic I've ever used to put on my windows.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Max Strength Roll-On Window Insulation Kits is amazing and easy to install all you do is unroll plastic on the windows or drafty areas the pre taped edges will stick then you cut it off and use the dryer to seal the plastic and smooth out the wrinkles.its quick and easy to use and helps keep hot or cold air in and keeps costs for heating or cooling costs down. The roll on plastic is clear so easy to see out and it's clear which helps light still come in. I know its been a real lifesaver for me and will continue to use it in my home.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nothing is worse than a draft in Winter when you live in a State nicknamed "The Frozen Tundra". I've used lots of products in the past with sad to fair results. I'm happy to let you all know I found a product I can give a true High Five to! The Duck - Max Strength Roll-On Window Insulation Kits is so easy to use, even a novice DIYer can use it. There are only 2 items needed to install - scissors and a hair dryer. Yup, that's it! You start by cleaning the window sill edges with rubbing alcohol then attach the double sided tape to the sides and bottom. Then simply roll the Duck - Max Strength Roll-On Window Insulation Kits covering, cut it to size, and pull it down along the double sided tape to the bottom. Use the hair dryer to seal it and you're done. No more drafts! Keep your furnace from running and running and stay nice and warm. I'm going to use this on all my windows! Need a drafty window solution? Look no further than the Duck - Max Strength Roll-On Window Insulation Kits. You're going to be as happy as me with it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received this Duck Brand Max Strength Roll-On Window Insulation Kit. New York winters get really cold and I always had a draft coming from the windows in the front rooms of my house. It made it almost unbearable to be in those rooms unless you were bundled up or walked around with socks all the time. This product was extremely simple to use and helped insulate the windows that had a draft coming through. My family and I can now utilize those rooms during the winter and I will be saving plenty of money on my heating bill. This is a great product.
ended up having to tape the top of every window because the sticky didn't work for long on the top.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a single working Mom with 2 jobs when I go shopping for my family, I value quality over quantity and will often purchase Duck products.. For the most part, Duck makes products that are user friendly, dependable and durable. When my 2 living room windows began to show a little condensation along the window seam, I decided to try to install Duck's Max Strength Roll-On Window Insulation Kit by myself to save time and money. UGH! What a nightmare! I was so disappointed with how very easily the insulation layer tore and stuck to everything as I tried to install it. I had to reapply it 3x and I still had bubbles under the insulation even after using my hairdryer to get it sealed. So frustrating! When using Duck's Max Strength Roll-On Window Insulation Kit, I highly recommend using a 2 person team to get a smoother insulation and install on a warm sunny day!
I think I may have gotten an old, old pkg of roll on insulation kit. The top of the roll would not lay flat regardless of how many times I tried to stick it to the window frame. I don't know if this is the reason the sides did not fall straight but I allowed more than the 2" requirement for the width cut and the edge did not reach the tape on the frame. This happened on both sides so it seemed like it was cut incorrectly at the factory. It would have been nice if shrinking it with a hair drier suggested a heat setting to use or how far to hold it from the film in order to not burn through. It did not change the temperature of the room, so far that is. It was exactly the same temperature as the previous evening. Will not purchase for other windows nor will I recommend it to others.
