I also live with kids and dogs. The old weather strippping on my back door had gotten brittle and was finally destroyed by dogs scratching to signal they are ready to come inside. I kept putting off replacing it because I thought it was going to be one of those household projects that is more trouble than you think it'll be. I was wrong. The Duck brand door seal was so easy to install. I seriously only needed household scissors! It took me less than 60 seconds to remove the old one and install the new improved one.

This product is only good if you want to see a one side of your door as there is not enough there to cover any more than one side.
