This product deserves a 5/5 rating for helping with energy efficiency and for (unexpectedly) decreasing a long-standing odor problem in my house. All you need are the socket sealers, a screwdriver (flathead and/or Phillips as needed), and a putty knife to slide under each cover and loosen it if it sticks to paint on the wall. The foam sealer's openings for the screws and outlet/switch are true to size and placed perfectly. The sealers are thin enough that the cover will still fit snugly to the wall after you replace it over the sealed outlet cavity. Surprisingly, it may also help with odors. In my detached house in North Carolina, cigarette smoke seeps in every day, even after encapsulation of the crawlspace and attic. After I placed the socket sealers throughout the house, the smoke odor was noticeably decreased for the first time. Who would have guessed that one of the cheapest and easiest repairs to the house would have an impact on the annoying smoke odor problem.
This product is amazing. Frigid air has been blowing in thru the double light switch by the door. I removed the plate, used 1 sheet of this product. 1 sheet is wide enough for a 2-switch. However they are all attached to each other and folded so you can use a piece for as many switches/outlets you need. I used a piece big enough for 2. my switches were unevenly spaced so I detached the perforations to use 2 separate 1 switch pieces. There are several perforated strips so each can be sized easily. I popped out the area for the light switch, and fit each around the switch. Easy %26 Quick. For this particular switch, I also used 1/8" Duck Rope caulk on the wall around the switch opening making sure it'd be under the plate edges. Using both sealed off the freezing air that was blowing in. My entryway is warmer now. Excellent products for someone with limited mobility. When using these to insulate outlets, save the removed areas. Push those onto child safety guards and insert them into unused outlets to completely block drafts.
I am very pleased with my purchase! Started using them 2 days ago. Easy to use; and noticed the insulation does help with the drafts here in this old log cabin!
Very inexpensive way to help keep drafts from my 80 year old house. I used 20 of them and felt cold air moving around behind most of my outlets and switches. I figure an electrical box is about 6 sq inches, so if there is just 2 sq inches of air leakage, having 20 of these installed is equivalent to having a window open 1 or 2 inches. I wouldn't leave a window open all winter, so I'm glad I installed these. They are very easy to install. The bigger problem for me was access to the outlets with furniture in front of them. I also had to cut a couple of the sealers to create decora size as the package only included two of them.
Much better than the Frost King equivalent. Thicker, softer, slightly taller, accurate and complete hole cuts. Both could be a bit wider though.
They are easy to install not sure how effective they are though. Very thin and fit almost a bit too small.

Helps with the drafts still need place something in the sockets.
I thought I would like the insulator foam having punch out options so it could be used as a light switch vs a 2 plug outlet but what I found was they didn't offer as much air sealing in the direct area of the outlet. I like the not universal foam better. More was being punched out than i wanted like it was all coming apart. See picture.
These might make sense if they had some sort of spongy insulation factor. But they are so thin they do not close any gap between the plastic and the wall. Should be a spongy material and not stiff foam. Totall crap.
