After several decades, I got tired of unrolling and re-rolling cord for power tools. The B & D reciprocal handsaw is strong enough to to use on most of my needed applications. It is so easy to go out doors on inhouse for all those small jobs. All of my yard tools are now B & D wireless.
This saw is neat, I used it for the first time to cut ivy vines that were at least 1 inch thick. It went right through them. Charging time is quick and lasts a long time. Saw is easy to handle and easy to use. I am looking forward to finding many more uses for it. I highly recommend this to anyone.
This hand held saw is great. I had to use it the day I got it. It did the job very well and had no problems at all. Highly recommended.
I purchased this saw to trim Rhododren bushes that had grown into trees and small limbs from Live Oak Trees. It has been beneficial in both situations. One drawback has been on the oak branches, no bigger than 1", the battery must be fresh to complete a cut thru one branch. There is still plenty of battery left to cut other soft woods but not on hard woods like Oak. Overal all I have been happy with the product and had need for new blades. Be sure to get the right blades for the right material you are cutting.
Its a great little saw for around the house projects, nothing too serious. I live in an apt and like to build the occasional thing, this has helped speed the process a long. Walmart has the best price on this item, btw.
small but cuts easy and battery lasts very long time
bought this when it first came out. thought it would be a handy little tool for quick light cuts. And it was good for quick light cuts, usually one or two cuts then that was it for the battery. I had it for about 13 months and used it a total of maybe 9 times when it gave out on me while cutting some 3/4 inch trim. The little motor just siezed. So go figure a month out of warranty. So i don't know if they're designed to last 13 months or 8 cuts but that's what mine held out too. I think this time i'll step up to a portable rec. saw from another brand. Maybe i'll make 10 cuts in 18 months this time
This cutter is fine if you are doing particle board, plywood, or something of no strength. I tried to cut a simple thin piece of metel from an air vent in the house with the hard metal blade and it actually broke internally. So if you do buy it, just do not use it for any material that has strength to it.
