Just what I needed to replace my old, dead battery. Really was hoping for a lithium battery replacement, but no luck. It's a NiCd battery so it doesn't last as long as a lithium. After this battery stops charging I will simply upgrade to a lithium battery drill. Since it's a NiCd I was expecting it to be less expensive than it was. As usual, after shopping around, Walmart had the lowest price.
I received the HPB12 batter with my GC01200 10mm drill. Worked great for about 3 months of light use (maybe 10 uses total), then the battery lost its power. It doesn't have enough power to drill through a stick of butter now.
I have owned several of these for my Grasshog as they last maybe 1 or 2 seasons before needing replacement, which can get expensive over time. Not sure why they don't make a lithium version of these
Completely useless after a few uses, the battery is completely dead and wont charge at all, I see 2.2Volts on my multimeter. Tried everything to revive the battery even the balance charger does not seem to recognize a good battery. Seriously, the product is poor. Specifications of the battery are not there - what is 12V without telling me the mAh? Seriously poor quality product being pushed by B&D so they can charge you for new battery packs every 10-15 uses.
Bought this less than a year ago and used about 5-8 times total, the last time about a month ago. I recharged after that use and put it away. Today I went to use it again and the battery was completely dead, didn't hold any charge at all. B&D should throw this battery out and replace it with NiMH which lasts longer.
Drill works fine, however, battery does not recharge after only a few uses.
This battery wasn't worth its weight in sand after just a few uses. It never would recharge. If this is the quality B&D offers, I'd just assume to shop elsewhere.
won't hold a charge for more than 5 secs. might have used it ten times. I can't believe this company would sell this garbage
This battery is useless. After charging for over 24 hours. Unplugged battery from drill and then next day it would not work. Charging again. It appears buying a new battery is not the answer for my drill. The weed eater works great. Just bought new battery I hope it is better than reviews I am seeing here. Weed eater battery lasted 3 years. Still works just doesn't allow me to complete my whole yard now.
