I bought this Circular Saw for my husband to put in some wood flooring and he loves it. He said the laser works great and it was very easy to handle.
Best purchase I have ever made. This saw has more features then I had expected.
Great purchase. I use this saw on a daily basis, and it it has more than enough power to get the job done. What more can really be said? The only downside, is that the saw does not have the ability to lock the blade when tightening it on. So sometimes the blade will spin rather than cut.
I was very disappointed on now the box arrived at my door. It was open with two big holes in it. It's a gift and I had to put it in a different box because I was ashamed to keep it in the black & decker one. The person has not received the gift so unaware of the actual product yet and if there is any damage to that.
I received the Circular Saw in a sealed packaging, but when I took it out of the box, it had some signs of used. Bottom of the saw has some marks of running on woods. Very light signs, but this should not be visible for brand new item. Also, the handle and side of the saw has very little sign of wood particle (this happen when you cut wood). Other than that, the saw works great. I would have retured it, but need the saw urgently.
There are two very important features left off this Black & Decker Model CS1030L saw just for the sake of lowering the price. Feature #1 is the on board rip fence for when making long rips. Inconvenient but not always needed. Feature #2 is the blade lock that locks the blade in place safely when changing blades. (This feature is a safety device. Also both of these features are found on the Black & Decker 7-1/4" Laser Circ Saw Model CS1040L which is one model higher. Wal-mart does not carry that one.
