While a bit expensive this wheel is worth every penny. I took a chance on it as I was replacing all the baseboard molding in my house and once I used this I threw the coping saw away. It is fast and leaves a smooth edge requiring vey little sanding. Since then I've used it only a few times but is sure is a nice option to have.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the cutoff wheels for a few odd jobs around the home & garage. After using them for several small jobs, I realize these are work horses. I own numerous rental homes and found these cutting wheels cut through impossible to cut pad locks and twisted wire cables like butter!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So many accessories & bits are, at the very least, extremely helpful & precisely why you have this power tool in the first place. However, I find this cutting tool exceptional. It cuts, shapes & allows you fine “adjustments” much like a sanding drum bit without changing bits. It is truly an extremely versatile bit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Cutting/Shaping Wheel for cutting a piece of small PCV tubing and it cut so well I tried it on a multitude of other things and found that it works so well that there too many uses to list here! I so love this cutting wheel!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Dremel Cutting/Shaping Wheels for 50 years and still finding more uses. They include trimming door latch stops, cutting wood and metal stock and parts, smoothing rough metal pieces, cutting details in floor/counter tiles. A strong point is cutting and trimming almost any metal even when power saws can't do it. While the carbide trimmers are often good enough, the wheel will always cut material.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best accessory by far to have. I use it for almost every project. It cuts shaves shapes and even cleans up all my little mistakes. I will always grab this one over any other piece I have. Love it!
Though one of the most expensive bits, this is nonetheless one of the toughest and most useful additions to your Dremel arsenal. I needed a tough tool for cutting apart plastic toys and models for building custom hobby model projects. The 543 cuts through even thick plastic with ease and the rough top plane makes it easy to smooth out the edges at the same time. It will probably even save you money in the long run as it eliminates the need to keep buying the less durable disposable cutting wheels. The 543 does remove slightly more material than the standard disposable cutting wheels, but that's really the only drawback. It's become my go-to cutter and even as 3 years of use has worn off most of the tungsten it still seems to work just as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do miniatures and woodworking models and I have found this accessory so handy and great for me! It worked out very well for trimming, shaping and contouring small wooden items as well excellent cutting on wood (I only use it on wood). Leaves a smooth surface when making rounded edges and freeform shapes with no burning of the wood so the finish is very clean.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this in my drawer, finally used it..... WOW, it was really unthought of, till now. It's my every day use.
Better than a toothed saw blade for wood. I hardly need to sand the edge after cutting.
