I use this motor & gearbox to replace the mico J-3 cub best thing I ever bought for that plane now i dont break the prop shaft no more
I bought this motor for my micro cub. Outstanding Improved performance....
Very powerful unit with the brick receiver in tow. Have done several stick and tissue conversions and have had nothing but a successful abundance of fun.
Replaced the motor in my P-51 micro. Worked great.

Put this in a small rubber Free Flight conversion. Worked super. Plenty of power and light.
I purchased this motor to upgrade my Ultra Micro Cub. It fit in very well. I used a dab of silicon to hold it in place. It now has incredible power! Ha, I can almost torque roll a complete 360 with it. Incredible vertical performance. I also added a thin piece of carbon fiber rod to the underside of the wing for extra support. I would recommended this upgrade to anyone looking for more performance from there Cub. I know that the Cub is not meant to be a performance aircraft but I was looking for a little more power and even doing landings in the grass with my stock motor the prop shaft was always bending! It isn't strong enough for my taste so this new motor and gearbox has a larger diameter prop shaft. It was a simple upgrade that fixed 2 of my problems!

I replaced the motor and gearbox for my Ultra Micro P-51. The plane is a blast to fly, but I think there may be a problem with the gear box. On both of the ones I bought, after only a few flights, the shaft from the motor loses contact with the main gear. I have not crashed this plane yet. I don't know if the gear box warps after it gets hot or what. I have to fly the plane at less than half throttle to avoid this problem. Again, I really like the plane, but I think there may be a problem with the gearbox. I hope someone else has a solution. Regardless, I like Horizon Hobby's products and will continue to buy from them.
