I had this outrunner installed in a .40 Corsair, all up weight around 5.5lbs. It few GREAT, very scale. The motor ran flawlessly and smoothly every time.

I have not used the electric motor yet because I do not have a place to build the airplane I bought the motor for how ever I have other products from horizonhobby and well satisfied with them .

I have flown this motor in: Sopwith Camel 60, T34, Pulse 40, and Kyosho FW190 . works very well with 13 inch props and 4200 4 cell lipo 20C and Castle 60amp ESC. highly recommend can't go wrong.
I haven't had the chance to install it in my piper Pawnee 40 yet. With the experience that I've had in the past with e flite,I like their products. Looks to be very durable.
Had a killer low wing scratch built running an OS 46AX. What could I do with an electric motor to match the performance of that incredible motor? (unlimited vertical, instant throttle response etc) The power 46 EXCEEDS the nitro motor it replaced while running cool all the time! I could not be happier with the performance. They plane was headed for mothballs due to fuel soaking and this motor gave it a whole new life as an electric plane.

The early versions of this motor were awesome. The motor was very powerful. But the latest version seems to have weaker magnets for some reason. I contacted Horizon (E-flite) but they did not seem to know what was going on with their own motor, or just did not want to tell. Maybe they just got a bad batch with weaker magnets, who knows. I hope they get it straightened out soon and get some of the early stronger versions back in stock.
