This product produces a very bright, white light unlike the normal yellow, dim (even though they're the same wattage) lights you normally buy.
We use these lights in our living room, to provide a nice white background. The daylight spectrum, we have found, also helps with the "winter blues".
For general lighting, this bulb far outperforms the regular corkscrew bulbs. It is tremendously bright and has not faded to the horrible yellow that the cheaper and more commonly found bulbs of the same wattage become within a month or so. The only downside is the price. These bulbs are twice the price of their counterparts. Well worth it once you have seen the difference.
Most CFL bulbs you buy are very yellow. These give a nice bright light simulating the outdoor. Of course being only 26 watt instead of 100, the fixtures don't get hot, not to mention the energy savings. The only downside I've found is that they are a llittle larger, length and diameter, than a standard incandescent bulb.
Lights are very bright and worked perfectly where I needed them. Might be too bright for some applications.
The term "Daylight" is normally assigned to CFL's with ratings of 6500K, but it would be better to list the K rating to remove ambiguity. I didn't find out the K rating until I received the bulbs. I purchased these because there was nothing in between soft warm and daylight available. I found them to be too "white."
Excellent lighting. But one of the bulbs arrived damaged during the shipping. Walmart refunded the amount. Anyway, overall the product was very good.
