This flashlight is one of the best for the money I have ever owned. This is my second one, the first I had used for 2 years until my bloodhound decided it was a toy and chewed it up. Though to my amazement it still will take a charge and come on even full of holes but felt I needed another. Not sure how long it will last in that chewed state. Would reccomend this flashlight to anyone wanting a rechargable flashlight with a bright light and waterproof to make it that much better.
I purchased this spotlight to use outside when on the farm or working around the house. This spotlight stays bright after hours of use. The light is bright enough to see a reasonable distance. The light comes with a A/C wall adapter and car adapter. The light facing down sits perfectly in my cup holder. My favorite feature of the spotlight is the brightness switch and the battery indicator light. The brightness switch in its lowest setting compares to regular flashlight and the brightest setting is at around 540 lumens. The battery indicator light comes on while using the spotlight and while charging. Green means charged, yellow means in the middle, and red means low battery. The only complaint I have about the flashlight is the switch to turn on and off the light has to be turned and that is hard to do wearing gloves or if the light is wet.
The light is very bright and far reaching and recharges very quickly, but retains the charge for a full 10 hours. The smaller size allows for a firmer, more comfortable grip. It comes with a charger for the house and the car so that it can be re-charged away from home. I haven't had a chance to try out the waterproof aspect yet, but look forward to doing so.
THIS SPOTLIGHT IS INCREDIBLE. IT'S SMALL, LIGHTWEIGHT, WATERPROOF AND SEEMS EXTREMELY RUGGED. I SHINED A TREE 500' AWAY AND IT WAS LIKE I WAS RIGHT UNDER IT WITH A LIGHT. GOING TO KEEP ONE PLUGGED IN THE VEHICLE AT ALL TIMES THEN HAVE ONE ON MY WORKBENCH ALWAYS PLUGGED IN. IT COMES WITH BOTH A CIGARETTE LIGHTER AND A WALL PLUG CORD.
I have not had these lights for long but so far they seem to work very well. Small enough and light enough to make carrying them easy but they throw a great deal of light a long distance and with the low setting they work well for working on something up close for a longer time. I have also had to work in the rain with this light and it was nice to know it was waterproof and I did not have to protect it while using it.
The first one I got didn't work at all so had to return it which kinda defeats the purpose of ordering it online for cheaper cause the gas to return it negated that but it is a good light when it works. Different brightness levels so helps save battery if u don't need that bright of a light.
Be sure to follow the instructions. Do not use before first charge, charge after each use and at least once every thirty days. I'm real cautious about the battery care. I had a Brinkmann Q Beam battery go bad on me after 6 months, because I didn't follow the instructions.
Great light for the lower end of the price points for waterproof spot lights. I bought this light a year ago and it only lasted one night gigging. But, the light was zip tied to a piece of pvc pipe and underwater upside down for 3 hours. The next time I tried to use it the trigger would not work. I took it back and got a replacement light. I learned it is not entirely waterproof and I would not leave it underwater now for more than a few minutes. The light is definitely a spot and not flood. The spot of the light is decent, probably 100 yards on high and 25 yards on low. Seems to have a cool white light rather than a warmer color as well. Since, the replacement I have used the light for a year and had no issues. Infrequent use of 2-3 times a month for 4-6 hours periods continuous low output and infrequent short periods on high (I leave the light on low beam on my kayak at night so I can find it when I walk along the shore and for safety while paddling at night. I will pick it up to spot thing occasionally on high). I only charge the light when the indicator light is yellow or red. The parasitic drain seems negligible on the battery over the period of 3 months, could not say for extended periods. Since I am not sure if the batteries are protected or not I try and not over charge the lamp and when the light turns green pull it off and do not let it sit for extended periods. I do tighten the back with pliers when I go on the water as well to get a slightly better seal.
At first when I picked it up at the store because I ordered it on line I was nervous because it was so small for a spot light, but when I got it home and charged it then used it at night I was surprised on how bright it is, and light weight and easy to handle.
I got this for my son for Christmas. Seemed plenty bright. The battery would drop off pretty fast during use. Maybe an hours worth of light. If charged, then left for more than 2 weeks, the battery would be dead when you go to use it. Just hitting the end of June now , so just 6 months later and my son showed me the light and the led bulb is brown in the middle. No light is produced. The thing is dead. A waste of money.
