BRILLIANT ! !

A well designed single LED light that has a piercing narrow (blinding) white beam useable to at least 300 yards. While the main beam spots objects easily, the peripheral light, of about 30 degrees, adequately shows nearer objects to the sides. A bonus feature is the two sets of 6 LEDs on either side of the main reflector. One side is red and the other blue which are selectable with a rear located three way switch (white-red-blue) for night vision protection or signaling. The comfortable pistol grip on/off switch is positive. There are provisions at the base of the grip for a lanyard. An unobtrusive ratcheting stand can be used to position the light conveniently for a work light; or used to hang it from a hook. The instructions that come with the light caution against charging the battery until the light weakens. I use the light almost every night for several minutes and in two months there is no perceptible change in output. It is my "go-to" light when something needs a look. It comes with an a/c wall charger and they mention a car charger in the brochure. Brinkmann.net contains some information and several routes to customer service. For those geezers who recall the "Aldis Lamp" used in aviation for signaling, back in the day, this comes close to it - and no power cord ! This is the most light for the money you'll find...IMHO
