I received this on December 27th but have not yet written review so i can write an honest and informative review. First off, the UI of the console is overall amazing and just like the ps4’s UI, only improved. It also has very fluid dynamics and home screen music that would change depending on what game you are hovering over in the home screen. The games on the PS5 are also amazing, my personal favorite would be Spider-man Miles Morales, an open world game in which you can roam New York City freely as Spider-man, being able to do missions in which you fight villains and perform awesome tricks while web swinging. The new dualsense controller that is included in the PS5 is revolutionary. It changes the whole way you play games, for example on Call of Duty, the adaptive triggers would change intensity depending on what weapon you are using. The only problem i have experienced on this console is storage. It’s simply not enough, now being 825 gigabytes, it’s a step back from the PS4 Pro’s 1TB of storage. With games now being 100 Gigabytes and over, you are not able to have too many games on your console. Thanks for reading!
I have brought a PlayStation Console since the PS2 they came out. This is the first time, I've had to go to so much just to get one. My teenage son wanted a PlayStation 5 for Christmas and I promised to get him one. Tried several times to get one at Walmart.com whenever they announced they were in stock. I could never get one. After doing A LOT of research, I found that I could have a better chance of getting one from Walmart.com by using their app on my phone. On December 15th, when it became available, I was on my phone and I got one immediately! So happy that the console was delivered sooner than expected. It was so easy to set up. My son has played this console daily. He LOVES it! He said that this is definitely the best one yet.
Walmart had a 9:00pm stock of PS5's on November 25th, and after 15 minutes of trying to add to cart, I was finally able to order it. To my surprise it was for "Pickup Only" at checkout, and had to wait until December 2nd to pick it up at my local Walmart. Of course well worth the wait! I think Walmart should be doing the Pickup Only method from now on to stop scalpers from buying them up, and everyone will have a fair shot to get one. Appreciate you guys doing it right!
I have waited two months to give an honest review of this because I have had an Xbox ever since the PS1. I love my Xbox and the performance, the PS5 had some issues for me at first in multiplayer games. Once I ran a WiFi extender and used Ethernet off of it, all the lagging has went away. The controller was hard to get used to at first but now it feels very comfortable to me and is definitely next gen. I love the PS5 for its looks, the way it performs and the remote controller. Everything about this system is great. Once I got used to the UI and the remote it is amazing. I have both the Series X and PS5, either of them are amazing, the Xbox wireless headset and Pulse 3D are amazing. You can’t go wrong with either, but the controller on the PS5 is truly next gen. The Xbox controller is just comfortable in your hand. Overall, this console performs amazingly, they just need to release the storage capacity already!
I let my son use my account to purchase his PS5. I'm 65 years old and even I think the PS5 is something to behold. I really underestimated my son when he said that this game console paired with a 4k HDR tv would be some of the most vivid and lifelike movements ever created. The controller is indescribable, just wicked cool. Think surround sound, only surround rumble. It loads lightning fast like described. He showed me his Madden football game, and it's an instant load into playing the game. He bought the disc version of the console, and i would highly recommend getting the disc version. For the extra $100, u get the ability to play your older PS4 disc games along with the PS5 discs, and ull be able to watch anything from a dvd to the 4k uhd blu rays, and everything video disc in between. I havent found a true 4k hdr player for less than $200, and this console has it built in. For the extra $100, just get the disc version. Yes, its fatter than the digital version, but just get this one. I'm thinking about just buying myself one later on for the disc player, and a few games to keep me entertained thru retirement. (I, myself, like the Astro's Playroom game that comes with it; I think it's cute and really showcases the controller and visuals.) I can see why my son spent nearly three months trying to get one. Our only gripes are the storage capacity, and the fact walmart took exactly 21 days from the 4th of February to finally ship it. Literally no updates on the order for 21 days, but once it got with FedEx, he received it within 24 hours. Good job FedEx, not so good job walmart.com. But, he got his coveted console. That's what matters. I'd also recommend the replacement plan just for peace of mind. This is a very expensive and coveted machine.
I finally beat the scalpers, the trick is, whenever it says add to cart you wait until the next wave, then you move fast. Keep that payment info secure too. Really fast loading speed, I’ve never been more surprised by a console. It can charge iPhones, or any device that takes a USB-C cable. Very quiet, can’t even tell that there’s a fan in there. Be warned though, it’s HEAVY.
After several weeks of waiting to get a PS5, I finally manage to get one from Walmart. The PS5 is amazing. First boot up is a 1 time thing and you really don't wanna miss out on it. Yeah the bots are buying out everything on this site and every other site but I was lucky enough to get one. The people who delivered it were FedEx. Surprisingly the person who delivered mine placed it in my backyard while I was away for a few minutes. Came back to see a package in the backyard but no notifications from Walmart until around 20 to 30 minutes of unboxing the PS5. Another thing I will say was that the deliver was meant for December 2, 2020. Came in on November 24, 2020. Keep a close eye on your tracking number if you get one. I didn't receive one until it was delivered. Besides the whole trying to buy a PS5 and Walmart, the PS5 is a perfect gift. Do not buy from scalpers. Do not spend more than $500 for the Disc version. The console is powerful but there isn't much to play besides a couple PS5 games.
Ordering this from walmart was a very hard task, from the beginning to the end, when i can finally get it, it comes broken, the box has a damage in one of the corners, and when i open it, also the console, talk to customer service and the only solution they gave me was a refund. Very disappointing.
I purchased this specific PlayStation based on the model %23 because it was the original disc version and I was sent a new slim model that u specifically didn't want , model %23 and picture were described as the items I actually wanted , and they sent me something that wasn't in the description
Just recieved today. Purchased from "Nationwide Distributor" on through Walmart.com. The playstation box was clearly opened from the bottom and the unit removed from its sealed box. The seal itself was intact but altered. Why even open the box and remove the system?
