I had bought one of these 2 years ago and loved it! However due to wind and other weather conditions the original needed to be replaced. I could find others similar to this but without the magnets in the middle, so I was excited to find this one at such a good price! It is now installed and keeping the flies and mosquitoes out of the house, our cat has no problem using it and it closes right behind him... PERFECT!
I installed this screen in a short time and it works great. The magnets open and close so smoothly. I don't have to tell the kids to close the door any more. it works great for the cata and dog too. I bought one for each door in my house and no regrets.
Love the screening! It's a beautiful alternative from the black I usually use (bought the black too for a replacement/back-up)! I converted a shed into a tiny home, so no true screendoor available for this size door. I'll add that this colorful butterfly screen is a bit thinner at seams then the normal black ones, so I remember to be more gentler as I go in & out. Bought it on clearance so a super deal as well as decorative! Thanks
I wish I could give a 5 star review but, the two separate panels were different lengths. It made keeping the magnets lined up on both panels quite difficult when installing per instructions and the lack of space I had at the top to place. I feel it would benefit from having the top a solid piece that then was split and trimmed/magnetized appropriately. Otherwise, this screen door has worked great with 4 kids and a Lab puppy. It's easy to get open even with our hands full and closes quickly afterwards, even on a windy day. For the price it can't be beat.
Although this item MAY work, once put together, there is a little bit of work putting it together...This item does NOT come ready to hang! You must stick the magnets along your door frame & line them up with the screen before placement! I would recommend buying one ready to hang, even if it cost a few more dollars.
When I was hanging it up the magnetics don't line up. It looks weird but to me I like the design. I wish I could give a 5 but with the lining being off I can't do that.
The day that the screen door arrived I was excited to install in and enjoy more fresh air. I was doubtful when I saw that the main installation materials are self-sticking velcro pieces that attach to the fabric screen. I placed all the velcro pieces on the fabric as well as the frame of the patio door. The velcro pieces that I attached to the fabric screen fell off within 1.5 hours! The velcro is still securely attached to the door frame, however the fabric screen is just sitting in the shipping box it arrived in. Haven't decided if I want to spend the energy to sew the velcro halves onto the the screen door or not so that I can use this product.
I bought three of these and none of them have held. One continually comes off anytime the wind blows, the other fell down after the first rain and the third, the magnets will not connect. The double sided tape that is used will not hold well on the screen. If you put it in the wrong place, it will rip off the screen. The directions say to put on the screen first, but it's so much easier to put around door and then test that it opens and closes well and then attach to screen.
I'm throwing this away. Not worth returning it. It was falling apart before we took it out of the bag, and the magnets don't really hold the panels. Very disappointed
I put this up because my dogs wanted in and out all day. it lasted about three days. The sticky Velcro kept coming off. The surface had been cleaned very well befor installation. The magnetic parts came off as the hole to hold the magi nets were poorly punched into the side. Just pulling the two sides apart made them rip off.
