Great game wish it was closer to the og Star Wars games
I love how they redid everything but kept the original story, scenes and characters.
Lots of fun to play great graphics and new combat mechanics.
Fun times reminded me of how it was to be kid again
This isn't really a game review and more of my opinion on the deluxe version with exclusive Luke Skywalker. I pre-ordered this game 2 years now and I'm happy to finally play it but the fact that the deluxe version is the only way to get the EXCLUSIVE Luke Skywalker minifigure. It being sold out is just crazy because lego/TT Games had all this time to produce copies of the deluxe edition and on release day you can't find a copy unless you already pre-ordered it but at least you can still get the base game. Hopefully they produce more but who knows whom ever else got the deluxe copy you're lucky.
Such a great blast from the past that includes the new movies and shows. Such fun and good replay value.
I have come across three major bugs, the first one is when I get to the level missing pieces I completed it but it won't give me my next objective! This is a huge bug since I can't get to kashyyk and explore mustafar, utapau, and geonosis. I also can't play as general grievous. :( The second thing is I PREORDERED the deluxe edition of the game, but only got the mandolins season one pack and solo pack, no trooper pack or classic obi wan kenobi character. The third one is whenever I enter the game it gives me random characters, a different ship, and I land on tattooine ever time I replay a mission. PLEASE FIX THESE BUGS! Also overall really amazing besides the bugs.
Get ready for freezing cut scenes, unplayable white screens, missing action prompts, and incredibly long load times. This game was clearly made for the PS5 and Xbox, the Switch version is a unpolished eye straining dumpster fire for the senses. It takes a lot of love for the franchise to look past the problems this version has. Don't get mad at me for this, I'd love to rate the game simply for the game play. But not in this new age we live in where developers feel it's okay to put out unfinished games at full price. No more pre orders for me.
Why does it say that it would arrive December 31 2022 not sure if it's mistake little scared about it so if it's a mistake please fix it don't want the other shoppers scared
I was so incredibly excited to see that lego Star Wars was coming back, and I preordered it on switch. However; on the morning of the release, I start up the game, watch through the opening animations and start a new save, only to have all excitement drain from me. The cantina and other hubs are replaced with a plain episode selection screen, no fun music or wandering through the hubs, just choose an episode and go for it. I decide to start with phantom menace, as I really enjoyed the prequels in the original game, and get a 10 second segment piloting the ship carrying Obi-wan and Qui-gon, and it gets worse. Level design has been completely forgone in favor of bland “open-world gameplay”, in which you wander from story point to story point, occasionally grabbing collectibles, blasting through the story with short escort quests and fights, the joys that used to come with collecting studs to get true Jedi and finding mini-kits, and playing through interesting, fun levels are lost in favor of the novelty of the open-world. When we do get levels that feel like the old game, they are short-lived and far between. Another strange aspect that was needlessly added to increase grinding and playtime is the RPG style upgrade system, random skills that can be raised to change gameplay, interesting but ultimately a waste of time. In short, this game lacks all the charm of the original and just feels hallow to play.
