I needed new smoke detectors for my home. I ordered these individually instead of contractor Pak because it was cheaper for six of them. They fit perfectly with the bases and installed wires from my previous ones. They arrived in great condition.
I had them when I bought my house, was time to change them, hoped I was able to find it and Walmart had them, love the price can't beat it
Previously had purchased this model, ordered two from Walmart, which seemed to have the best price. Arrived promptly. Front loading battery means you do not have to undo the alarm and do not have to remove the connector (electrical) to change the battery. Will purchase more in the future.
This was easy to rewire where the old 13 year old detector would not stop beeping . If you've changed the emergency battery, dusted, the unit, reset it with cutting off the power and back on and it keeps beeping, this is your answer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never tried this brand of this smoke detector / alarm. It was easy to install since I already have the in celing hardwire connection installed, I just plugged it in, attached it to the ceiling mount, which was included along with hardwire connection adapters. I pushed the test button and everything was all set; it works fine.
What is there say, easily replaced with newer model after the 10 year life span. Considering I replied 12 units, the Walmart price was greatly appreciated.

Replaced 5 old FireX (now Kidde) hardwired alarms with 5 of these. Installation was easy and straightforward. The operational instructions don't seem to be quite up to date but with only minor errors. Testing was straight forward and seems to be comprehensive as I had one minor wiring error which testing made evident. I do recommend that when pressing a test button a second person go to the other alarms and ensure they are alarming as well. The instructions do not mention this and this is how I found my mistake.
These were replacements. I ordered the same model number for easy installation. The older units lasted 8 years before they all went off at 3am. The fire dept told me to replace all units. I ordered 4 units. One unit arrived and looked as if it were used and the battery alert started beeping 1 day after being installed, which means the battery that can in with the unit was dead.
I think you need to have these available!!! I need two more and it's telling me there's only 1 left. So frustrating
