Comes with a 9v battery installed and matched the other detectors perfectly.
The item was delivered to the wrong house and when i goy it in the sealed package the box was open.
Disappointed! First Alert HD6135FB Heat Alarm carries a limited 10 year warranty from date of manufacture. The product I received (while never used) has a manufacture date of February 2019 (basically about two years old). This is probably the reason you can get it for less money. If you want to get the full ten years out of your new product, consider paying more at retail stores as the manufacture dates are current.
The package was packed in an paper large envelope with no padding, Therefore the packaging was crushed and the mountings screws was lost. I wasn't able to install it.
