The Kidde C3010D is a 10-year, sealed battery, carbon monoxide alarm which includes a digital display feature and uses electro-chemical sensing technology to protect you and your family from the dangers of carbon monoxide. The C3010D alarm will automatically activate when it is attached to the mounting bracket. At the end of alarm life, the unit will chirp, indicating the alarm is in need of replacement. A screwdriver can be used to deactivate the unit, stopping the end-of-life chirp and making it safe for disposal. The inside cover of the mounting bracket features a quick reference guide for what to do in case of an alarm. This easy-to-install alarm is suitable for all living areas and has a 10 year life and limited warranty.

This unit was easy to install and took only a few minutes (if you have a power drill). I like the fact that it is small and unobtrusive. I'm happy to get rid of the bulky plug-in monitor. Now I have full use of both electrical outlets. I'm also glad to be rid of batteries that need attention periodically (usually in the middle of the night!). I'm glad my old unit finally expired so that I could install this replacement that will last for 7-10 years.
We have had these before and they keep improving them.
The technicians checking out my furnace just happened to be here when these carbon monoxide detectors arrived. They were very impressed with the digital readout, as well as the overall quality of the device. I now have 3 Kidde CO detectors in my house, all sitting on tables or dressers. It gives me a great deal of comfort having these quality detectors, especially with the recent CO poisoning a friend experienced from fireplace gas logs.
I like seeing it setting there with a -0- reading. I was afraid of carbon monoxide poisoning since I live just off the freeway. This product gave me peace of mind.
Had this up for YEARS and nothing ever from it. Woke in the middle of the night with over 150 ppm. Pulled all the kids out of the house and called emergency to come out and check. Readings were up to 300 ppm and no one could enter the house. Furnace failure to vent properly could have kill us and our kids if not for the alarm. It's a lifesaver. Literally came to post this review saying this for others to see.
I bought this one 'cuz it's younger brother expired after 7 years. The old one saved my life twice when my oven went bad. I like the digital read-out and data tracking. AND it will stand on its own.
I bought the Kidde C3010-D 2-3 years ago. Lately, it beeps and the "fault" light comes on and the LED screen indicates "LB" low battery. Doesn't the battery in this model last for ten years?
I purchased two of these for my home and within a couple months they stopped working and just say fault. These aren't cheap ones either, and are supposed to last for 10 years. I would not purchase these again and unfortunately am past the timeline to return.
Bought in the winter, it's now beeping at me at 3am screaming it's low battery, but you can't change the battery in this model. Don't know if I can disable it or not to get the warranty done as website doesn't say.
I bought this three years ago. Woke us up middle of the night. No CO reading just noise. This is terrible to seek a safety product that is faulty. I was not due to replace until 4/2030. Will not buy again.
