The smoke detector is the original one that is wired with battery back up installed in my home. I needed a replacement and Walmart had the best prices for this unit
I received the exact product I wanted; a replacement for what I had when my home was built 12 years ago. These alarms have a shelf life, so it is important that it is recently manufactured; and it was...November 2016. Very happy with the price, the quick shipment, product, and how current the device is.
we had to replace the alarms that were the original alarms when we built the house 10 years ago.these were the same brand,but not the exact same model number. we were able to just replace the main part without rewiring etc.
My purchase arrived on time. It was exactly like the one that I had originally so the installation was a snap. It was even $20 cheaper than at big box store. Loved the savings!!!!
This was to replace my original one that died after 10 years. Walmart was quick to deliver it. The instructions are included and very clear. If you're replacing the same model it connects effortlessly. There are also wires to connect if needed. It was much cheaper than a Walmart competitor.
Loved the fact that we already had the old alarm up so all i had to do was take the old alarm down and plug this one in and its ready you dont have to do any installing because its the same model no. and can use the old mounting bracket!! Bought our new home and it came with this alarm and when i looked at the back of the old alarm it was from 2006 so it made it 13 years 3 years over the ten year warranty which is a good buy!! Waiting on the other ones to go which are probably the same year so probably buy in bulk knowing they work and last!!
Buy a battery! This item does come with a battery but it is a dead battery. The detector will not work until you replace the battery supplied by the vendor. First Alert/BRK you should do better than this.
Fit the old installation without rewiring. Yay! on the other hand I am replacing a unit from a new build 4 years ago and there are still about 7 to go
I replaced every smoke alarm in my house in 2018 with the First Alert SC9120B unit. This one failed this year. Six years is not a bad run, but it is well short of expected lifespan. I am now concerned about the other 8 in my house
My package was open. I am going to assume someone else used it and return it. Not satisfied
