They are exactly the product I need, no damage to the product or packaging and they are several dollars cheaper than the price I had been paying for them….plus they are delivered!!
We live in the country in an area with high iron content. We have 2 wells but neither provides suitable drinking water. We have tried cheaper water filters in our water conditioner but have only been disappointed. The Filtrete carbon filter is the only one that has made our water clear enough to wash clothes and bathe in. I would definitely recommend it over other filters.
I have found this 3M filter to work well beyond my expectations.Let me start by saying i am on well water with iron and sulfer.This is also a single cartridge whole house system.I have purchased several manufactures carbon filters at a lot more exspense over the past over 14 years.They all say yyy-amount of gallons and/or yy-amount of months.The best i have ever gotten from any other filter is maybe 3 weeks.First the water pressure drop then the smell.My wife picked up a two pack of these filters while shopping just because she seen them.I installed the first filter on 11-10-12.Here it is 12-31-12 (approx 7-8 weeks) and that first filter is still doing great.I should mention there are/and have been only two adults living in this home.I recently purchased (6) of these two packs so the way it looks at this time i may finally get ahead of the game or at least even.With all that being said i hope other people can have the same satisfaction that i have with this product.
I really like these Filtrete Whole House Carbon filters, I've been using them for five years now with my duel filter home system. The water is cleaner and tastes so much better. They are a perfect match for my duel filter filtration system and with the Filtrete pleated Standard filter, this Whole house Carbon filter does a great job and gives me peace of mind knowing that my water is safe to drink.
These filters work well and keep the water tasting good for a few months. This helps cut down on the debris that has been clogging our shower heads too.
I have been using a single system and the water out of my personal pump was still not as clean as i would like, i then in upgraded to a new double system and being able to buy high-quality products at once that cleaned up my water with and this is the big point NO water PRESSURE drop with two filters in line back to back.. thank you for taking your time to read my review
This helped with the while house water filtration system. The filter itself seems very simple but the results were astonishing. Better than what i've expected it to be. Also the 3M is a brand name so must have gone through some QA for these items.
I think these are a very valuable play. They work great. I just change them out every month. Even though they say there 3 months, they changed the whole look and taste of the well water
The description on Walmart.com says it is a 5 micron filter but the packaging does not. I contacted Filtrete and they confirmed it is a 5 micron filter. I will probably buy more.
We have well water that smells/tastes like eggs (sulfur). These water filters make a huge difference in the taste and smell of the water we drink and cook with. For us, they last almost 3 months in an under the kitchen sink configuration before the odor returns. The price is a bit high in my opinion so I wish there would offer a larger bulk option. I would happily buy a dozen at a time if it was more economical.
