My Grandson and his friends enjoy playing this game
It's the first that start COD: Modern Warfare series and it's awesome. I just got me a PS3 this past month and I have to say it's pretty awesome. Campaign is really good, but what I get the most of the game is online multi-player. Even though many people are on COD: Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, people are still playing COD4. So if your worried about the online mode, everybody's playing it too. So your just getting a PS3 for the first time, I recommend this be part of your couple of games to start out.
This is the COD that started it all! It's amazing camping was what lead to all the other modern warfare games. It's online multiplayer is fantastic but keep not that the online is hacked and is hard to get a solid legit game. I suggest playing Team Deathmatch as it is one of the less hacked game types.Overall this is an amazing game and I highly recommend it if you are new to the series or a long Time player.
MW1 Was a VERY Good game, very fun. Although MW2 Is better, This has levels that are not any thing like MW2 Exaple: In one level you get to control a plane's gun stystem and can change guns (There's a 25mm 50mm and 105mm) And is very fun I have played that level about 50 times the first week.
i really liked the way I was able to find this item for the best price. I was able to buy this for someone who really wanted it.
Grandson is having fun with this game
This is the game that started all, modern fps did not exist before this game. It was done perfectly. All the games that followed this one (COD series, with exception to WaW) are just attempts to make more money for the developers. Having put close to 30 days (720 hours) into this game I can honestly say this is the best game I have ever played. And I STILL get on occasionally.
First and foremost, I love this game. If you haven't had the oppurtunity to play this and Modern Warfare 2, you should definetly experience this game. The single player campaign is great, with a storyline that spans both games. I can't attest to the multiplayer aspect as I only played this game for the backstory for MW2. Word of warning, however: despite what the back of the case says, there is NOT TROPHY SUPPORT for this game. Chalk it up to a typo (?) but there are not trophies. This game originally came out before Sony required trophy support for games and Activision/Infinity Ward have not gone back and added it in.
After reading and reviewing the contents of the Game, we felt it would be suitable for A matured teenager.
Received this game for Christmas 2012 and game would not load. Was not a disc issue. Did research on internet and PS3 version of COD MW4 has been hacked and made unplayable online. The only way to play campaign mode is if you disconnect from internet. As soon as you go online screen hangs and you have to turn console off. THIS GAME SHOULD BE TAKEN OF THE SHELVES before more PS3 owners waste their money. Kudos to Walmart though--I was able to return it without a hassle.
