Best $199 spent this year, husband loved it because he didn't have to do anything! Love this service!
Lights up and installed perfectly. Had an issue with the clips I bought and one string of lights but the installer had extra clips and got back on the ladder to replace the string that was out.
I'm glad to see this type of service being offered. My experience was good overall, but there were a few hiccups. The original date for installation came, but the first Handy man asked to delay it a few days due to weather and being behind. We agreed on a new date/time, but he never showed or called on that day. I contacted the Handy customer service team and they addressed the issue. The new Handy man had to delay a day due to weather issues, but showed up the next day and completed the job. He did a good job and addressed a couple of concerns I had. You can't beat the pricing for this service and I hope it's available next year as well!
The handy man that showed up, Mr Bassa, came with no ladder, however I had one. He must around for an hour, without hanging anything then said he would be back the next day. He never showed up the next day. I'm guessing he got paid. I need a full refund or the job to be rescheduled with a different handyman.
I purchased this service only to be cancelled on repeatedly. The Handy service does not appear to be very reliable. Each cancellation notice occurred only hours before the scheduled appointment. We will not be putting up Christmas lights this year. I do not recommend this service unless you have a very open schedule.
Would not recommend this service. Purchased and received a date for install 10 days later. The night before I still didn't have a pro assigned to our job. I contacted customer service, one responded after an hour and a half (with a 15 guaranteed response time) stating they couldn't find my account so if I could verify different information and they could “most definitely “ help me. I do as instructed and no one ever responded. Fast forward to the morning and 2 hours before my install time I get a text message and email that my install is cancelled because of increased call offs that morning. I'm sure it wasn't because they never had anyone to do it to begin with. The rescheduled date was over a week away. Definitely wouldn't recommend
Showed up on time and got started but we're very slow. Left that evening and never came back and finish the job. The job is only 1/3 done and I do not want them to come back nor do I ever want you to do service on my house again
I guess I'm the only person who didn't know I needed to supply all the stuff. For someone who has no clue how would I know how much lights to purchase and what hardware I would need I order to get the task accomplished?! So I purchased a service that I couldn't get done.
Very unhappy!! The pro cancelled 6 minutes after the appointment was supposed to begin and there was no offer to send another pro or reschedule. If I could have done this myself, I wouldn't have booked it. Now I have to return lights
Was scheduled for light install day before Thanksgiving. Went out and purchased new lighting as we were so excited to have this done. My excitement then turned to disappointment/anger when I found out @ time of installation that they cancelled with no advance notice. Called Handi Customer Service and that was also a horrible experience! I requested to speak with a supervisor, was told one would call as a follow up and never received one.
